Looks Great!

On an unrelated note, I love that Poster art! Probably my favorite Poster art that I've seen of the last decade+. No floating heads, poor photoshop, or actor faces on the cover get's an A+++ from me. By comparison The Avengers Age of Ultron Covers that so many people posted about last year are easily amongst my most hated that I've ever seen due to everyone choosing the same fugly promotional artwork.

Does anyone made some Star-Wars, custom art looking like the steelbooks?

I would love to use these for my SW saga on blu-ray.

Front

Not sure if I'll finish, but I decided to try a test front to see what a cover would look like...

I've got credits at customaniacs.org that I essentially dont need. pm me and I'll email you a scan of this....file size is too big to post on here apparently.

On that note....anyone else who wants scans of something can ask and if they have it on custom maniacs I can provide it.

Paying it forward, as it were.

That would be great. I love the artwork that can be found on German and French releases:

Nice but does anyone find it funny that 5 of the 6 are the bad guys? Why isn't Dooku on 2, or a battle droid? Seems odd to me.

Default Planet of the Apes collection. Custom Blu-ray covers by Nissen

I have recently completed a set of further covers in my Planet of the Apes collection that the client has agreed to share with the forums.

These haven't been released on Blu at this point, so they have the appropriate DVD logos. (They are DVDs in Blu-ray-clothing.)

I am especially proud of the front of the Animated Series cover, as I redrew the actual series title card by hand based on screen grabs. For the Complete Television Series I extended the recent La-La Land Soundtrack release artwork by Jim Titus. The Behind the Planet of the Apes artwork is loosely based on the 2001 Image DVD artwork. While I hated to use the spoilerish image, it really is an iconic and beautiful piece of art.

The TV-series cover is made for a 4-disc, 14mm spine case. The others are regular US 12,5mm cases.

PM me for copies.
Please note, I will be offline for a few weeks due to my internet being disconnected while I have a room added to my house. I will be answering messages from work, but may be even slower than usual in responding.

Why that cover over, say this one?

Not a knock, genuine question

Well, the simple reason was I had already used that poster on a previous set and I always liked the RoboCop 2 teaser poster and thought this would be my last chance to use it (but I still couldn't resist pimping it with some fog effects).
There are many times I have considered doing multiple variations of a cover using different posters (My Superman set, the Planet of the Apes set, the James Bond sets, all have so many different ways you could go), but I try to discipline myself to make a choice and stick by it. Doesn't mean I won't change my mind down the line, though. :-)

Here are the other Robocop sets, one recreating the UK VHSs, the other recreating the early Image DVDs.

I don't really like cluttering the back of covers with info. You bought and love the movie enough to print out your own artwork. You know what the movie's about and don't need specs. I kind of dig making the back cover their own sort of front cover, so to speak. You don't gotta follow conventions with customs if you don't want to.

Since once it's on the case you're not going to see both sides at the same time. That's my philosophy anyway
