Added Rawhead Rex and Vicious Lips (funny that Shout announced this just as the box set is being released). I also noted which films are in the box set and added the Arrow link for Re-Animator.

Somehow missed the last couple comments and a few recent releases.
Walking the Edge, Robot Holocaust, The Caller and Spellcaster have been added.

Worst part is Spellcaster was sold out by the time I learned about it

It sold out during the last Black Friday sale. Hopefully another label picks it up. It'd be nice if the version on Tubi was updated with that new transfer, because the current transfer is an old 4:3 video master. It's not as awful looking as what they currently have for Necropolis, Mutant Hunt and especially Dreamaniac (so bad that you can't make out faces at times), though.

I have a weird compulsion to own all of Empire's films in hi-def, though I suspect in some cases - like Arena, whose film elements, last I heard, are missing - that may not be possible. From what David DeCoteau has said, Dreamaniac was edited on tape, so that's another headache from a remastering standpoint.

Yea I'm the same way, I buy any Empire release I can. Even though I'm mostly a horror guy and some of the stuff isn't horror. No guarantee I'll ever watch it, but I need to own it haha.

I’ll have some real soul searching to do if they ever put Savage Island on Blu, that’s for sure!

Looks like Arena is getting a proper release!

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=360684

For the longest time, it was said no proper elements still existed, looks like Arrow were able to find some. After this, only 11 will be left.

Which titles do you recommend? Here are the ones on my must buy list.

The Dungeon Master
Ghoulies
Re-Animator (waiting for hopeful arrow 4k release)
From Beyond (missed VS slipcover release, any hope for future releases?)
Terrorvision
Dolls
Video Dead

I think those are my big 7. Hoping for a better release for Terrorvision and Video Dead. Hoping for 4K of Re-animator. And for someone else to do From Beyond. Otherwise WILL end up paying aftermarket if I have to.

I can't believe the slip edition of From Beyond 4K is already sold out. I was waiting for the next sale. Major bummer.

Yeah next time vinegar does a horror movie I really want I'm gonna have to buy day one. At the time I didn't know only they had the slipcover. So I was going to buy it on amazon at a later date. Now I know slips are extremely limited. I'm probably gonna end up paying $100 for the damn thing. I don't see anyone else doing from beyond in the next several years.

A standard, non-slip version from Vinegar Syndrome is already available. Not sure how long their license is but I wouldn't expect it from anyone else in the United States for a very long time. There could be some interesting import versions available though.

That's always the case with Vinegar Syndrome releases. If you care about slipcovers, you really need to monitor their site each month (when new releases hit) to make sure titles you're interested in don't sell out (of the slipcover). There are plenty of titles I've missed out on, instead of regretting I choose to think "I saved $8 by missing out on the cardboard". It doesn't always help if it's a title you really care about...

I don't think I would spend a premium on the secondary market just for a slipcover though when a regular edition, which includes all the same disc content, is available. The exception is their VSA lineup which will not have a regular edition and the slipcover one is your only chance.

I know you wouldn't, but I would. When From Beyond was on sale on their site, I was new to Vinsyn. So I thought, hell the slipcover will be like all others, available the first 6 months or so, and I can wait for a price drop on amazon. NOW I know better. I'll be paying to get the slip because I want to. If VS releases Ghoulies, there will be 3 great horror releases from them side by side on my shelf. Spookies, Ghoulies, and From Beyond. I want all of them to have the slipcover. You might not understand fanatical people like me, and it's ok if we don't understand eachother. Just know, I need that slipcover.
