Gotta say, when I was almost done reading the extras part I mistook, for a second, that last picture for the leaflet. Actually, if they had enclosed a reproduction of that newspaper story I would've preferred that to the real leaflet!

Seriously, I don't know maybe it's the mood it sets but whatever it is Vitti embodies it. It's a film I love but have a hard time telling others in terms that makes sense. Does that make sense?

Bare-Bones? On that movie....I don't know. Like Birdman, it's a movie that has to have extras only because of how they're made, especially Boyhood.

I think the bare-bones comment refers to the Paramount release...I am sure the Criterion with have extras.

Sorry, there's a theme of alienation that runs through the three films and there is an iciness that Vitti exudes that fits perfectly. She is to Antonioni what say Ullmann and the Anderssons are to Bergman, sort of essential or perfect partners.
