The Lodger, Lifeboat, Young and Innocent, Sabotage, Secret Agent. I hope it's not one of the first 3 since we have U.K. releases already (but not region free, although the Aussie Lifeboat release is). I would love to see Under Capricorn as a surprise.
Secret Agent is the one I really want to see since we have yet to see a decent release of that one.

A film I would like seeing announced is Sister (2012), with Lea Seydoux. It doesn't have a BD release anywhere, which is ridiculous.

I'd love to get Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Cure (1997).

It's been said before but would LOVE Ringu, or the entire set of films. Or other Asian horrors from that time.

Be a nice boxset if they had a selection of Asian Horrors.

May I just ask for a Criterion edition of Punch-Drunk Love, since Sony clearly has no plans to sell the blu-ray by themselves.

I never like to guess because they go after so many types and genres of films, unlike some studios like Scream Factory where you know you will get some form of horror film.
Even if the announcements don't excite me, its still fun. Sometimes if it sounds like something I could be into, Ill rent the film and find out if I want it or not (Eraserhead, Le Samourai)
I think the best guesses are the ones that have a great film by a great or well known director (USA or otherwise) although Criterion does the occasional cult or B movie (Equinox, Monsters and Madmen set) ..
Anticipation is always a lot of fun.

I'm watching the complete LOTR Extended trilogy to pass the time - hopefully it will be announced in six hours from now when I'm finished.

Wow, those SG blurays are stunning!
I finally got to view Don't Look Now for the very first time last month at a local arthouse theater with a new 35 mm print.

Yet somehow I found the ending to be incredibly weak, silly and ridiculous in all respect. I won't say a word about the ending though.

I realize it is one of Roeg's stronger pictures but it was just a silly film after I walked out of the theater. Maybe for back then it was really scary but today I could only feel cynical and disenchanted with the "atmospheric horror" in the film. I'm not sure I'd buy this if it ever came out on Criterion.

Yeah a few times, few years back now - I remember loving it, but not seen in ages so may have forgotten haha, don't think I remember the end tbh >.>

All I really remember is a very unnactractive nude man appearing a lot and a little girl lol and it being quite depressing?

Do want to rewatch but discovered DVD doesn't work

These are the ones I personally would want to see:

In a Lonely Place
Watership Down (w/ Plague Dogs?)
Mulholland Drive
Don't Look Now
Blue is the Warmest Color (Special Edition)
Midnight Cowboy
Leaving Las Vegas

I'm not counting on any of them being announced.

I think Blue has a pretty good chance this month given it'll be a year from its being released before. But yes, other than that, it'd seem a bit sudden for most of the others there to pop up (short of Midnight Cowboy or possibly Mulholland Drive)

Hasn't In a Lonely Place been in the running for quite awhile now? Is that even officially going to happen at some point, or is that just the hope of members here?

I've been following upcoming titles closely for a year now and I don't recall its ever being given any kind of "official" mention (hint or otherwise)

Quote:
With this passion project, screenwriter-producer-director Martin Rosen brilliantly achieved what was thought difficult, if not impossible: a faithful big-screen adaptation of Richard Adams’s classic British dystopian novel about a community of rabbits seeking safety and happiness after their warren comes under terrible threat. With its naturalistic hand-drawn animation, dreamily expressionistic touches, gorgeously bucolic background design, and elegant voice work from such superb English actors as John Hurt, Ralph Richardson, Richard Briers, and Denholm Elliott, Watership Down is an emotionally arresting, dark-toned allegory about freedom amid political turmoil.

Disc Features

New appreciation of the film by director Guillermo del Toro
Picture-in-picture storyboard for the entire film (Blu-ray); four film-to-storyboard scene comparisons (DVD)
Defining a Style, a 2008 featurette about the film’s aesthetic
Trailer
PLUS: An essay by comic book writer Gerard Jones
