I'd say so. It was blind for me. It is also very much a noir film, so keep that in mind.

I can't think of anything else that it could be.

As you pointed out, the pants match better than those in Rocco and His Brothers (and from my own observations, the gloves match, as well).

Probably Le Cercle Rouge, Thief would make my top 5 but there are so many I cant think right now lol.

But for those who love HEAT so much, I just can't I tried that movie has way too many issues. Casting, the acting which goes back to the casting, character motivations that come down to the script but to me don't work.

It made me so angry that there were so many things that ruined a potentially great movie. Thief is better then Heat because of the faults. But I wanted to LOVE heat I just can't

I love this film, After Hours, myself.. and I discovered a 1080p version on Apple TV (iTunes), so this is probably the only way to watch this film in HD. But this title has been on my list forever for Criterion to release.

Hey my buddy in Chicago, the land of heists, I also agree with you about Heat being one of the greatest crime-noir-heist films ever. I wrote a 20 page college essay on this film like 15 years ago. Someone in this thread, a few years back, requested I send them my paper even. Anyway, Warner Bros. owns this film so I doubt it could ever come to Criterion, but if it did, I'd die right on the spot.
