Yeah sometimes i wish they just did a twitter announcement, so we can know the titles even if all the specs, artwork, etc are coming later.

Some people are crazy. I love Criterion and get excited for announcements as much as the next guy, but some of these reactions are insane! Guess what, it's not written in stone anywhere that the announce new releases on the 15th. It's true that they typically do, but they've never said that will be the case every month.

Some of you seem upset that they didn't just tell you earlier in the day. Have you really just been sitting around refreshing your browser in anticipation?

Wasn't it just the clock on the New Year's drawing? I'm one of the people hopeful for it, but the clock didn't have the right time on it. Also, it's a pocket watch on the promo poster for After Hours lol.

Look at the clock from the title sequence of the film. It's pretty close.

I think at the very least the clock is for the "The Big Clock". Can't really see why they would make it that large otherwise. The evidence for After Hours isn't all that strong in my opinion, but we do know Criterion is licensing titles from Warner now, and this film is long overdue for a BD release, so we're all just hopeful.

If they don't announce After Hours Monday, I'll just move on and hope WB has their own release before the end of the year. I did read here the transfer supervised by Scorcese has been done at least.
