As for giving more information, I think they normally would at the Wexner talk, but that's not happening. They tend to pick their spots when they communicate about upcoming titles and that hasn't happened in awhile.

I think there is a strong chance of them getting all that you mentioned and plenty more but it will take time for them to develop the releases. We could have a dozen Warner titles in a couple years, but they'll probably come out in a slow trickle.

I don't know what makes you assume that they got Warner. It is well known that Badlands is a special one of a kind case, where Warner were forced to license it out from direct involvement of the director. Twilight Time's release of Heaven and Earth happened due to similar circumstances. Those are the only two cases I know of Warner licensing out their films. I'm not sure about this one, which is also a Warner movie:

In any case, instances of Warner movies being released by a studio that isn't Warner/Archive can be counted on your fingers. I hope that I'm wrong and that Criterion and Warner will have a partnership.

They do have a partnership in the works. That has been announced at last year's Wexner talk (I believe). We just don't know what future titles are coming. You'll find some discussion of it here:

I'm glad I didn't blind buy it.

It's goofy and crazy and weird and I'm sure I would've loved it 10-15 years ago back when I was under the daily influence of certain "herbal" substances, but these days it's not a movie I think I'd be compelled to watch more than once or twice.

I can definitely see why other people love it.

It has all the elements of a cult classic.

I think it's accurate. I think there are other thematic elements at work in this film as well, but I don't disagree with your core reading of the main characters.

Not at all. It's a great film. I'm reading up on Red Pill so it was very stimulating.
