I'm pretty well-stocked with Criterion titles right now, but I used the $10 account credit that I earned a few days back to order The Honeymoon Killers.

I've been on the fence about The Honeymoon Killers, but the idea of getting it for $15, including shipping, got me off of the fence.

I too was much more impressed the second time, it was several years apart from my first, I think it is the best of the three.

What struck me the most is in the supplements, the director mentions how it is his most well realized movie, saying he thinks he achieved to represent in screen about 50% of his vision, imagine if it could have been more.

Ordinarily I just get my Criterions second hand from a Swedish auction site online (since Sweden's where I live), and shipping over the Atlantic is too expensive. Thinking I'll jump on this in order to get all the digipaks that risk going OOP in favor of keepcases, tho. SOOOOO, which exactly are they? I already have Nashville and Tokyo Story. Will be picking up Persona (& Dazed & Confused, and Sansho the Bailiff, but they aren't dual format so w/e).

edit: nvm, looks like they only ship within the U.S. and Canada. booo

if anyone is interested in any of their older Eclipse releases, this is one of the very few times of the year at which you can be assured of receiving a copy that isn't beat to s**t. with that said, I'm getting:

I tried 3 different copies of the Ozu set at B&N. most of the newer releases you can find in stores, but there wasn't one with 100 miles of Chicago. I ordered it online and their warehouse sent me 3 separate lousy copies.
