Kinda seems silly we have to spoiler tag the releases. I don't understand the "I don't want the surprise ruined".

Some of us like to see them announced on the Criterion page first. It is common courtesy. but I usually avoid this thread on new announcement days because of the posts spoiling the titles.

Maybe it's me but I'll never understand it. If it's out there then I want to know it.

Some of us like to see the announcements when they are posted all at once on Criterion's site.

but that is why some people are nice and spoiler tag the info until they are posted on the Criterion site.

I still do this all the time too, spoilers don't ruin it for me, still like checking the cover art and supplement details.

I would love to see Criterion release Lost In America on BLU. or if WB Archive would do it that would be nice also. The original poster art would be the best cover art ever.

The Japanese version looks like the re-issued French version, so that would be the master used. I don't think it looks bad, but it's an HD master from 2011.

Is
[Show spoiler]Decalogue
worth a blind buy?

I love
[Show spoiler]Three Colors Trilogy
and
[Show spoiler]Double Vie de Veronique
.
Although I'm alarmed a bit too about the cropping, if it's indeed the case.

I don't know about this film, but I'd love another "Lost in" film. Lost in Translation.

I wonder why
[Show spoiler]Cat People
in
[Show spoiler]September rather than October? I hope that leaves the door very faintly ajar for a Val Lewton set in October.
Wishful thinking probably.

Maybe because they're keeping
[Show spoiler]Pan's Labyrinth for October, as the big Halloween release
.

I'm a fan of the director as well. I believe some of the ones that are being released in September are still available on Hulu.

Yes. His best overall work and one of the stunning achievements in cinema history.

Someday I hope we can find out why it's so damn hard for Criterion to keep a schdule.
