It looks like Criterion have dropped hints about the October lineup on their Instagram and Twitter accounts. Here are my predictions:
El verdugo Boyhood An Almodovar title Pan's Labyrinth His Girl Friday |

If they announce His Girl Friday, October will be one of the best months ever.

Now that Criterion is releasing Warner Brothers titles how about Monte Hellman's CHINA 9 LIBERTY 37? Criterion has done Monte Hellman right and his China 9 deserves the Criterion treatment. Last I saw China 9 was owned by Warner. Highly unlikely Warner would do a 2K or 4K restoration on a Hellman film, we fans feel this is his best work (referring to the uncut version and not the 92 minute version) since Two Lane Blacktop.
Would love to see more Monte Hellman from Criterion and this would be a good one to add to the catalog. |

That movie had some very good bits, but I think it's VERY weak in comparison to some of his other films, ex the Before trilogy. |

Pan's Labyrinth is for sure happening. Guillermo del Toro confirmed it himself.
