The above list isn't complete but it will give you a good idea of what 4K DCPs are currently available to theaters from Park Circus.
I see The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford on that list.

I know a lot of individuals want Criterion to release it, so this may be the perfect opportunity.

This may, or may not be a sign of things to come, but The Great Escape was recently added to Criterion's Channel, listed as a "OOP Laserdisc edition". With this being another MGM title, I think it's possible Criterion could release it on BD. This year marks the 55th Anniversary of the film as well.

Hmmm... It seems it was a controversial release:

The current disc could be improved on, at least as far as color grading and contrast goes.

So while this one certainly wasn't at the top of most people's most wanted listed, I think a new release from Criterion or whoever is most welcomed.
I'm surprised it wound up with Criterion instead of Shout Select or just regular MGM, but there are plenty of existing bonus features they can stick on, and it's a great movie in its own right. I'll be happy to buy it at some point, though OF COURSE it happened after I tracked down a copy of the DVD with the bonus features, because the Blu-ray that I bought specifically because it was supposed to come with the bonus disc didn't.

Yeah, I do feel like it would be a better fit for Shout Select.

Props to Rochester for how quickly he hit on "boulder-ham", I was flipping through the pages trying to figure out where anybody was getting a Bull from that picture.

Which makes perfect sense especially considering most of us (myself included) feel that Shout Select's latest announcement (Wild At Heart) would be a better fit for Criterion.

Nice try y’all, but Bull Durham is too easy. Rock: who’s the epitome of rock n’ roll excess in America? KISS.

Ham: what’s the holiday most associated with ham? Christmas.

Ladies and gentlemen, we can finally cross it off all our wishlists.

As much as I'd love to take credit, it was MifuneFan who first cracked it.

Wait. KISS is involved? Then that means it's obviously Why Him?.

OK, and not Criterion related (or Franco/Cranston/Deutch/etc. related either) but just got my copy of the 20th Anniversary Edition of Queen Margot today. It was years ago that this came out from Cohen Media, and I meant to get it right away yet, somehow, it completely slipped my mind. It's supposed to be a great release, and I'll find out tonight.

All that being said, WHY IN GOD'S NAME IS THE PRINT SO SMALL IN THE BOOKLET?!?! They leave the top third of some pages blank and make the print so small that you need a freankin' magnifying glass to read it! WHY?!

I realize I'm old, and I'm getting far-sighted, and I now have reading glasses much to my eternal shame (used to have 20/10 vision). But come on. I just don't get it.

*shakes head*

Eureka just announced Cure(1997). Are Criterion planning to release this eventually? Or was that just a rumour?

They've had the rights to it for ages, and have it available digitally on Filmstruck, but I've heard nothing about any plans to release it physically.
