Bravo Criterion!
For those who stream, The Criterion Channel on FilmStruck now has the CC version of Night Of The Living Dead.

I've got the Arrow Dekalog and other television works version.
[Show spoiler]

I have watched Dekalog, One, Two, Three & Pedestrian Subway, Still Alive. I've thoroughly enjoyed these episodes so far!

Thanks for reminding me as I need to watch the rest!!

I would highly recommend the Criterion Dekalog (I do not know if there is a difference between the Arrow/Criterion versions?!) for your enjoyment!!

If I had to re-select my 80 or so Criterion skus via some sort of draft, Dekalog would be on my short list for consideration as #1 pick.

Was a little surprised to see Election on back order, so couldn't grab that unfortunately. Though SOTL and NOTLD were both still available! Must have had a bunch in anticipation for the sale.

Internet connections and speeds are variable. Images burned onto a disc will always be the same.

.
Blade of the Immortal was a bit sloppy but not BAD. It is certainly middle tier Miike but has some parts to enjoy for sure. It just has some highly questionable editing and kind of just keeps going without much of a purpose other than blood and action.

Harakiri (Miike) was pretty decent but was still on that middle tier cusp.

13 Assassins though... I think that is Miike's masterpiece and is up there among the greatest samurai films of all time for me.

Did not know an Ichi the Killer remaster was coming though, that is awesome.

I'm not particularly a fan of horror/gore, but I saw Dawn of the Dead a few months ago and was stunned by how good it is, so I excitedly blind bought this, putting it on as soon as I got home yesterday and... I can't say I'm that enthused. Between the mediocre-to-terrible acting and the awful dialogue, I was irritated or annoyed basically any time anyone was talking (or not talking, in the case of Barbra, truly one of the most frustrating characters ever), and unfortunately that's the bulk of the movie: characters in a room not so much arguing about what they should do but shouting about who's right and who's wrong. I appreciate it for being innovative and sparking an entire genre, and watching the ground rules of that genre being established has its interest; and the action portions really are fantastic—the last third is great—but it was an absolute slog getting between them.

I'll keep it around for now, and give it another go when I'm not going in with unreasonably high expectations... but I'm afraid Night is going to be relegated to the "appreciate not enjoy" pile, and I'll be waiting patiently for a release of Dawn.

I wasn't suggesting the people who post some version of 'streaming sucks' anytime streaming is mentioned are wrong.

Just tedious.

I'm still kicking myself for not getting that release when it was like $20 or less . I did get the Australian release, which is based on the same source, but only has the theatrical cut. I'm not sure if I've seen the DC, and I for sure have never seen the Argento version.

there seems to be an italian bluray that has all 3 cuts at a reasonable price:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Zombi...lu-ray/159640/

the Argento cut is the only one 4K restored.

Oh, I still want SOMEONE to release it, and in my opinion, after all the different experiences I have had with both Warner Archives products vs Criterions, I would much rather have Criterion release it.

You've said it enough times, there's no need to constantly repeat it. If this is an OCD thing with you, I apologize, but please try to manage that.
