Turn that frown upside down, people.
The Criterion cover art for The Tree of Life suits the tone of the movie wonderfully well. |

I like the cover for Tree of Life. Reminds me of the style they went with for The Thin Red Line. I still like the original poster more, but that can be found on the Fox blu-ray and this Criterion cover might end up being a nice fold out panorama since it’s pretty likely this is a digipak.

Oh it does, but it's rendered absolutely appallingly. Looks like it's been done in Microsoft Word. Absolutely no segue/feathering between any of the different faces.

Yeah I agree, the artwork does fit the tone of the film... and being printed on a cardboard case will make it look even more beautiful, plus having fold outs will add more place for other images and artwork!
Reminds me of Y Tu Mama Tambein artwork tbh, which was horrible on screen, but in person very nice ![]() |

"Heaven Can Wait" is top-shelf Lubitsch. I'll definitely upgrade that one.

"The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez" is a great film. Robert M Young is one of the more underrated filmmakers of the 70s and 80s, with great credits like "Alambrista!", "Rich Kids" and "Short Eyes". Don't sleep on that title. "Smithereens" is also a cool film worth checking out.
