Anyone perhaps have a PDF list of all the Criterion titles? OR even just the Blu-Ray ones? Let me know please I need to get a printout for a friend who wants to start building their Criterion collection.

Not a .PDF, but I find this pretty handy:

I'm actually surprised this page hasn't been taken down yet by the Wikipedia police. They took down a similar page for Twilight Time on the grounds that it was nothing more than a catalog.

Thanks. I stand corrected. Thewlis, then, was still perhaps even more deserving than Nolte, DeNiro, Williams, and Beatty. Hopkins? Really great, classic performance, but one I always felt was a supporting role. But let’s not split hairs: Thewlis in Naked was stupendous.

So is Throne of Blood OOP or just temporarily jacked up because of the sale?

It is not OOP. The only Criterion OOP can be found at this link:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t=oop+blu+rays

Which includes:

Criterion

Army of Shadows
Chungking Express
Confession, The
Howard's End
Last Year at Marienbad
Le Cercle Rouge
Léon Morin, Priest
Man Who Fell to Earth, The
Nashville
Playtime
Pierrot le fou
Thief (BD/DVD)
Third Man, The
Zatôichi: The Blind Swordsman

But a few are only OOP for the Blu-Ray/DVD Dual Format set.

The movie plays fine, I can’t verify that any other DVD does this, but those I tried did not. It’s not a big deal but it just seems odd.
Quickly tested some Simpsons, futurama, transformers s1disc1, and disaster artist dvd, none of them do this.
I've seen this happen before on other discs and players. I'd say it has to do with how the disc was set to display anamorphic widescreen. Those animated DVDs would have 4:3 menus along with 4:3 episodes. The Disaster Artist might just display the menu and feature in 16:9 properly, as it's a new movie.

Just a heads up. With Criterion's new site you can create a web query in Excel to pull in all the titles.

Thanks. My intuition is telling me it's coming back, so I think I'll let my copy go.

The lineup you're after is Tom Hanks (Philadelphia)(winner), Liam Neeson (Schindler's List), Anthony Hopkins (The Remains of the Day), Daniel Day-Lewis (In the Name of the Father) and Laurence Fishburne (What's Love Got To Do With It).

Thanks. I stand corrected again. It was a rough morning. I am standing “naked” in the forum. Another formidable set of actors for sure. Thewlis was right up there with them. I’m currently watching the Criterion copy of Woo’s THE KILLER. Again. Anyone care to comment on this one?

Is anyone else fascinated by Passion of Joan of Arc? I watched it for the first time the other week and it instantly became one of my favorite films of all time. Instantly bought the criterion for it.
