Ah, good catch. I missed that since it had that "Fulfillment by Amazon" tag to it.

I've always refused to buy "Beauty and the Beast" because I hate the ending. The ending ruined it for me. I won't go further as I don't want to spoil it for others.

However, at $5 I couldn't say no. Thanks.

All I care about today is an announcement for "The Irishman". Most of my favorite Criterion releases are usually October releases ("Mulholland Dr.", "The Brood" and "Barry Lyndon").

Thanks.

I got

Moonrise
It Happened One Night
Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!
Smithereens

I live in Europe, so it came down to +/- 9 euros shipped each.

All blind buys, but Smithereens & It Happened One Night were on my wishlist.

I really wanted "Bowling for Columbine" but it sold out, so I got Moonrise instead.

I think it's a good price despite the shipping costs.

I'd love to see "The Irishman" announced. But I keep thinking that will be a November title, along with the Fellini box.

November is usually a huge month.

As always, I am curious as to what will be announced.

There's a few $5 DVDs from the same third party seller. Price difference with the blu-ray editions is currently over $20. Is the quality difference worth the price difference, or is a $5 Criterion DVD good enough for documentary blind buys?

I went back and grabbed "It Happened One Night" as well. I saw this once before (2013) and enjoyed it. I have it on my list to buy, but had forgotten about it. For $5 I couldn't turn it down.

Once again, a big thank you to hainesdogg.

Looks like these went fast. Prices seem to be back to normal. Glad I was able to jump on this.

I would love Equinox. Just went through that set and it's so much fun. The extras understandably don't mention it but David Allen had a lot of drama in his life before he died. Hopefully Full Moon is doing Primevals justice.

For the upgrade I think Peeping Tom is the best bet. We can be almost certain it's currently with Criterion after all.

Every year I want to participate in the B&N 50% off sale, but each time I try, my orders keep getting cancelled because they "fail the verification process". I should mention that I am from Australia, but I am at a total loss as to why this happens. I use the same credit or debit cards I always use and I regularly buy from online stores around the world without issue EXCEPT for B&N.
They happily take my order (which I gather is automatic), and then a couple of minutes later it is cancelled. This is beyond frustrating! Anyway, I thought I would come on here and see if anyone had any ideas as to why this may be happening. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention that when I have spoken to customer service at B&N they say they cannot say why the verification failed and to talk to my bank, but the bank says everything is in order.

I don't know why you are having the problem you are having, but have you tried just paying with Paypal?
