Not sure if this has been discussed. I recorded Spirits of the Dead off TCM over the weekend. Watching it now and it opened with a Janus films logo. Maybe they will be releasing the full anthology?

Dead Presidents would be great.

With the info that someone has the rights to The Killer and Hardboiled, I'm really it's Criterion. If so, I hope the wait isn't too long for their release.

Wow. Didn't know they did both.
I wonder what the deal is with New Line and if they would let that one go?

Please please please.
I love a box set but if they do individuals, I'd still get them all.
Really wish Tapei Story would get the solo treatment.
And that would leave That Day on the Beach, The Terrorizers, A Confucian Confusion and Mahjong.

Am I the only one who would like to see Criterion sell prints of their covers?

Hoping to see her films again in the future but knowing that it's rare to find her films (Except for on YouTube) on home video around the world. Hopefully, a company (Most likely Criterion) will release her works one day
At least India Song needs to happen, have been patiently waiting for a blu.

They do sell a very limited number as poster sized art prints - I have the Hard Day's Night one. I picked it up while on a trip to the States but I had asked beforehand and they are willing to ship anything overseas except BDs/DVDs. At the time they told me they would charge cost using a courier - iirc, it would have been around $25 for one poster.

I've only seen a few mentions of this problem in the forums and I'm guessing most people don't check their discs unless there's a play problem. Clearly it's a systemic problem somewhere in the manufacturing chain. It's no one-off.

The quality control overall seems to have declined. I see way more warped or wrecked covers on new releases these days. It's tough for the condition-freaks.

The good thing is Criterion should be able to exchange any defective discs for you.
I know this is an old comment, but I've noticed something similar with a lot of the recent Made in Mexico discs. Has anyone tried contacting Mulvaney about this?

Same. Last time I think anyone mentioned Duras's name on this website was about 4 years ago (When I searched her name up on the search function).

Hoping India Song but also La Musica, Baxter, Vera Baxter, and Destroy, She Said will also be included. My favorite would be La Musica but India Song would be top priority.

If Criterion were to release a Hughes Brothers film, I'd rather see them do American Pimp.

How true is La Haine? I mean about those poor areas around/near Paris, and the police abuse?

Are these the same people who adapted the Alan Moore book From Hell? That was a terrible, terrible movie.

It’s 25 years old, but as far as I know it was it was an accurate portrayal, and Is still an issue

I would love to see them sell prints at theatrical screenings through Janus as a way for the venues to make money. With the theatrical experience struggling and starting to slowly return, anyway to assist the independent theaters that exhibit art house films is something I can support.

I love movie art, and one of the best books I have is the huge Mondo book of artwork of genre films (The Art of Mondo), and some of the same artists work on Criterion/Janus films.

Weren't Criterion the first to restore ABSD? I'd LOVE to see more Yang in the collection. Yi Yi is a very special film
