Thanks for the update! Satantango is my first Arbelos label purchase, but it receives a "Highly Recommended" overall rating from me. I'll more than likely give Arbelos some more of my money since I have been considering purchasing their release of Dennis Hopper's The Last Movie, which would be a blind buy. I'm just waiting for the price to go down.

For each of the past handful of flash sales, I've gotten an e-mail titled "A heads up for our most loyal customers" the day before the sale. I'm assuming I'm not the only one who gets these. But if nobody else does, I'll post here for a heads up when I do get it. My guess is that it will be next week.

I got one, even though I never had a paid subscription. I was part of their beta, and then later on did a trial, but that's it.

Just had a convo with a friend and how it's strange that Criterion didn't also release Wings along with The Ascent as some sort of two films kind of release.

Maybe a dumb question, but it's been a while since I've bought during one of the flash sales -- do titles go out of stock in the same way as during the B&N sales? (Yes, I have my eye on the Buñuel set.)

Criterion is sending replacement discs for 'Pierrot le Fou' in order to add back the green tint for the Sam Fuller scene. You will have to email them sometime in the summer.

Yes. And being a 24-hour sale, it would be safe to think that once an item is gone, it's gone for the sale.

It's generally recommended to try to get your order in as early as you can afford to, especially if you're looking at more mainstream titles. Titles like Wes Andersons tend to go out of stock relatively quickly, but the vast majority of titles will be available even at the end of the sale. I wouldn't expect the Bunuel to go out of stock, personally, based on my observations of their flash sales.

This is good to know, thanks. I'll probably hold off on getting this one then. I already have the Studiocanal Godard set with this in it anyway.
