Armond White was ejected from the New York Film Critics Circle, so I'm not sure I'd trust his opinion.

As a New Line title, Arrow would never get it.

Anyway this is a 5/5 month.

Great line-up! I'm thrilled to see La Piscine and Bringing Up Baby, two of my favorites. Just in time for the Barnes and Noble sale too.

Wow, this is a strong month for Criterion releases. Deep Cover really stands out to me and I'm glad Criterion is releasing more African American directors' films that should put last year's NY Times article to rest. I also like Tarkovsky's Mirror and I also think Bringing Up Baby is a perfect fit as well. As for La Piscine and Working Girls, there's something for everybody this month!

Gonna be honest, getting ejected from the New York Film Critics Circle feels like a badge of honor.

The dude is crazy and his taste differs wildly from mine, but he has an obvious love of film that I find kind of infectious.

Criterion cover art quality seems to have declined somewhat...

His essays for the Revanche and Everlasting Moments releases are good, as are the films.

Has anyone purchased the re-release of Persona or seen it in stores?

If so, is it in a plastic case or a DigiPack?

Sick month from Criterion. The truly unexpected one for me is "Deep Cover", which is really one of the underrated gems of the 90s. "Bringing Up Baby", "La Piscine", and "Mirror" are huge as well.

I can't believe this is happening. I've been checking their page middle-of-the-month hoping for this bit of news for years. I wasn't even sure this was going to be a CC release, and with each passing month it just seemed hopeless. I don't even know what I'm yearning for most out of CC at this point; this is the best possible news. This was the one I was waiting for.

Good list all around. Titles I haven’t seen but am interested in.

Titles I have seen and am very happy for are Bringing Up Baby (finally - can we get Arsenic And Old Lace next please)

Super surprised and excited for Deep Cover. I remember seeing this at the theater circa 1992. I’ve been wanting it on disc for a while too. Dead Presidents next please.

Not on criterion though. I picked up Benjamin Button and The Game and trying to get my hands on "The Irishman", I would appreciate that they would remaster the best of these directors.
