I‘m limited to Amazon since I’m in Germany, so, my first order:

$27 each with tax and shipping included, welcome to 2021! Mad and excited at the same time

Just done watching The Battle of Algiers. One of my very favorite films and the Criterion is also a favorite!

Actually I wanted to order Scorsese’s World Cinema Project boxsets 1-3 but only one dropped in price and one does not even ship to Germany..

I got Fellini, World of Wong Kar Wai, Bruce Lee, and Memories of Murder today. The first 3 arrived really fast from B&N shipping. Fellini and World of Wong Kar Wai were very protected and I don't see any damages. Bruce Lee and Memories of Murder on the other hand got damaged, Memories of Murder was online pickup. Does anyone know if Barnes & Noble does replacements? Who do I contact to get replacements?

Agreed 100% with Cremildo, but personally I would add Macbeth as #2 after Repulsion, just ahead of Tess.

All but the first two are blind buys, all purchased at B&N to support physical stores. It's getting sad how few book stores exist at this point and forget a video rental store.

I wish Criterion would/could get COMA (1978). I love this movie and it needs remastering and given the Criterion treatment. It's a wonderful movie and has such atmosphere and great performances.
That Warner Blu-ray with that awful artwork sucks.

Every Criterion I want at Amazon is out of stock. Is this common during sale periods? I did not have this problem last year.

Unfortunately, B+N still aren't shipping outside of the US, so I have to order from Amazon.

They'll usually allow you to order while their stock comes in later in 2 weeks - 2 months.

According to my store, a lot of people came in early on the first day. I thought it started on the 1st, so they held mine for me. When I came in the next day, some were gone or diminished. Same thing happened the last sale, but they did restock some of them.

(Already have the OOP Rosemary's Baby, and alas, Criterion didn't bring Knife in the Water to blu ray.)
I would actually put Cul-de-Sac at the top.

I see that UnbelievableMontages received a copy of World of WKW well-protected, and in new condition.

Have any of you similarly ordered the set from Barnes & Noble, and gotten it in the same condition? I’d planned on getting this during the Flash Sale in October, but I might just jump on it now if I can be relatively certain of receiving it sans damage.

Are you all leaving the discs in the packaging, or housing them in a 7 or 8 disc Elite case (whatever is the closest, size appropriate case).

I’ve read more than my fair share of horror stories when ordering condition sensitive sets from B&N. Have they gotten better?

Thanks in advance. This will help me formulate a plan.
