Thank you! The description sounds great! I have Woman in the Dunes on my wishlist. I have not watched a movie by Teshigahara yet. I never click the “DVD” button in the database because sometimes it’s better to not know what you’re missing out on since most of these discs are OOP and scary expensive. So one can only hope.

The Face of Another is one of my most-wanted titles on Blu-ray. Happily, both it and Woman in the Dunes (not to mention the third title in that hopelessly out-of-print DVD set, Pitfall) are viewable on the Criterion Channel... here's hoping they get a Blu release soon.

Sadly the Criterion Channel is not available in Germany. It could be with a VPN service from what I read, but my neverending “to watch” pile and with the neverending new monthly releases it’s already tough to keep up time-wise, and that’s a good thing So I also now hope for a Blu-ray release of the Teshigahara’s!

Since I’ll watch the James Wong Howe masterclass extra from the Sweet Smell of Sucesss disc tonight I’ll pair it with a screening of Shanghai Express from the Sternberg/Dietrich set. Also shot by Howe. Great times!

Arrow didn't release it in the U.S since either WB or Sony owns the rights to it there and neither company are licensing UHD rights to third party labels. Not to mention that both the WB and Sony blu releases are apparently still in-print.

Mirror and Baby are preparing to ship though I could probably have gotten these sooner if I kept my amazon preorders I have a good track record of getting digipaks in goo condition from B&N so the plus is having a good chance of getting Mirror in good to perfect shape

It is unlikely Amazon will match currently. B&N is showing out of stock online, if they get more stock online Amazon will then match. Amazon will only match titles hat show available online at B&N during the sale.
