I jumped in at 12:01, cart loaded up!

Had that $50 certificate burning a hole in my wallet.

Essential Fellini
High Sierra

I think that's it for me, might wait to see if amazon will price match B&N in November since B&N no longer ships internationally.

Great choices by everyone btw... enjoy!

Went for it with Stackry, my first order from Criterion US. I've been regretting moving on my Godzilla set for a long time so ordered that, as well as another dozen or so. Shipping is going to kick my arse. Probably still made a saving of sorts. Hopefully.

Grabbed a couple new releases since the Arrow sale turned out to be such a bust. Next up: Mondo Macabro!

Yes, it was announced as part of four Netflix titles they would be releasing. Slightly odd that it hasn't come yet but I have no reason to believe it's been canceled.

I started setting up my cart last night thinking I wouldn't need to get too much this time, but as always, scrolling through the collection I found a number of titles I obviously 'had' to have, and so naturally I end up with another $50 gift certificate:

Mississippi Marsala, which had previously been confirmed to be coming to Criterion from Mira Nair herself, is now listed on Janus.

Sitting out this flash sale due to lack of funds at the moment and since the B&N sale starts in 2 weeks.

Shell mentioned a pretty good metric for that a few pages back

  • Movie is a contemporary or world classic capable of selling 10,000 units

I decided to grab this:

In addition to the 50% off I had four $10 codes, which all stacked. Sweet.

Decided on these 3 and redeemed my $50 gift card. Took it easy because I'll be headed over to B&N for some 4Ks next month! Really looking forward to The Innocents and Kwaidan as they are blind buys!

Enjoyed seeing everyone's pickups so far.

I went with three only. I had planned to get more, but also just bought an expensive book. Plus, it's just a couple of weeks until the B&N event...

Was only planning on getting the top 4 for now, but I hit the $50 gift card level, so of course, had to get 3 more...

1 horror, 1 noir & 1 small boxset for me, all blind buys:

My theme for Halloween films this year is leaning towards vampires based off my recent purchases.

Almost bought Leave Her to Heaven but changed up to High Sierra after seeing all the posts about it.

I've been meaning to get into samurai films having only really seen Seven Samurai, figured this was a good starting point. Also became more interested after listening to the latest Iron Maiden album with samurai Eddie on the cover!

Glad to see so many people picking up High Sierra and Onibaba. Wish more people were picking up the Human Condition. One of the best and most important films I've ever seen.

Went with these three, which got me a $50 gift card that I'll use for the next flash sale:

I only got these this time around. They were my most wanted titles on my list at the moment. Used the $10 gift certificate basically as my shipping and paid $40.00. Usually I would buy 3 titles in order to get free shipping.
