I’m saying, possible, is the key word. Nothing confirmed. So don’t get your hopes up too high.

Just watched Notorious last night with the gf. It's her favorite Hitch and in my top 5 as well. Would love to see this on 4K from Criterion.

I swear that every "when" post just makes me cringe now. At times this forum is outweighed by wish/rumor posts when we all know that when something is confirmed for release by a studio it will be posted here, there, and everywhere. Asking is nearly meaningless at this point.

Can't find how much it costs to print a 100 GB BD and a non-rewritable 100 GB SD card.

I'm really curious as to how many Fox titles Criterion still has yet to release. I hope they got a decent amount as it seems like they are the only ones releasing their films now.

They also want to know what player I'm using, with what firmware, blah blah blah. Not a single issue with any of the other discs. Am I supposed to send them a video of me popping the disc into 4 different players and having the same result? It's a $300 box set, thought they'd care a little.

I'm actually going to watch the Universal Blu-Ray tonight. I chose this day as an annual watch because of Criterion's April Fools' Day joke.

If it does not have the green tint, yes.

The fact that Criterion is fixing it in a replacement program should tell you all you need to know.

The SC release does have the green tint, but not on the scene where Belmondo is talking with Fuller. But I see what you're saying now. Criterion used SC's 2K restoration for their release, which did not include the tinting as mentioned during the Fuller scene.

Apparently, the green tint may be wrong. According to a 1966 Ebert review the Fuller scene was in full color, not in a green tint.

I don't know which is correct, only that Criterion is fixing it in their next pressing.

They've already fixed it for streaming, but the disc hasn't had a 2nd pressing yet.

I fully agree. It would sell like crazy and yes that cover art is gold. If they don’t pick it up I expect Kino probably will with their next Universal deal.

Speaking of Pierrot Le Fou, what's the correct color grading for the day for night scene where they're lying on the beach? The 2009 Criterion blu-ray, which I own, has that scene untinted while the rerelease has it tinted. Also, I assumed the green tint issue on the rerelease was resolved ages ago when it first came out back in 2020.

The Film Forum page for Space is the Place gives “special thanks” to Janus Films.

https://filmforum.org/film/space-is-the-place

The German Blu-ray looks pretty good, but I do think perhaps more restoration work could be performed to remove some of the scratches, and maybe a little bit of colour correction.

In less than 70 years it'll be the 90s again! Astoria might be in the ocean by then though....
