I guess The Age of Innocence doesn't count because of the definite article.

It's the only thing keeping The Aviator in print.

Blow Out 4K is giving me a bigger reason for me to finally check this one out. A bit embarrassed I keep passing on opportunities for watching this as well as Antonioni's Blow Up

I like some of these new releases, especially the Atom Egoyan movie. That's one I definitely need to watch too. I'm also intrigued by that "Take Out" film. Overall, a better month than August's.

Nice to see a movie about sound not having to be forced to use Atmos.

Do it! They’re great! I would also throw in Coppola’s The Conversation for a pretty fantastic trilogy!

Janus Films. Miramax let the rights slip.

I'm inspired to finally watch the Kino Take Out DVD I bought in my swirl of appreciation for The Florida Project.

Also very happy to see Sound of Metal in the collection. This was and remains my choice for Best Picture of '19/'20.

I’d add Soderbergh’s KIMI to that viewing group

I was going to get Blow-Out in the next B&N sale but now I'm going to have to wait until the October flash sale to get the 4K. I dodged a bullet there.

Definitely in for Le Corbeau as I never picked up the Region B SC release. (Interestingly, the Criterion run time is indicated as 3 minutes longer - are there different versions?).

I like Blow Out, but not enough to upgrade.

If Criterion could rescue it from DVD only oblivion I wouldn’t complain

It’s perhaps a bit of a shame they’re only including the DVD extras and not finding/producing anything new about the film as I’m sure there’s lots to talk about with it. Per DVDCompare the different BDs and DVDs have differing extras.

Glad I never bought Criterion’s UK reissue of Blow Out. The Arrow BD isn’t bad though.

Wish criterion would bring Scorsese's " Alice doesn't live here anymore " to 4k A gem of a movie and a classic seventies movie burstyn was brilliant in the title role.

Great month.

I'm not a big enough fan of Blow Out to upgrade my Criterion bluray release but I'm definitely getting Sound of Metal 4K and Take Out.

Exotica is tough because I really want to support the release (and especially Canadian filmmakers) and that cover is amazing, but I already have the UK Atom Egoyan blu ray box set, and I've been spending way too much recently to justify that double-dip, especially with more Egoyan titles on the way from Criterion.

Down the road I could see talking myself into getting Le Corbeau too.

You mean best picture nominee and Oscar winner The Sound of Metal? I mean, yes, Exotica has a lovely cult following, but TSOM has real prestige - and despite what claims to the contrary, is adored by a lot of people.

Depends on how much you like the film itself but pretty sure the Criterion disc offers a massive improvement from the AE transfer, which even in 2013 was more passable than really good, with a lossy audio track to boot, which is not a great way to watch a film that was primarily an audio-visual experience.
