Same. I'm pretty sure I've put more hours into watching the movies in that set than anything else in the collection. They've become akin to comfort food in a sense.

Is it pretty much accepted in this thread that Criterion has these?

I always prefer a region 1 release and seem to end up double dipping after importing, usually for the different commentaries, extras and sometimes for the different transfer. I've held off buying these, thinking they would be released here any day. The delay makes me think Criterion is sitting on them...

Someone posted a list of all the StudioCanal titles Criterion has and these were on there. So yes, almost certainly with Criterion I would say.

Park Row? Kansas City Confidential?

I'm throwing out oddballs that are known to be with them, surely they'll come soon, right?

I wonder if Criterion could release Good Time (2017) from the Safdies. We have 2 of their other films in the collection:
(Daddy Longlegs/Uncut Gems)
why not go for more.

No enthusiasm for another WCP box? Or even an Indian New Wave using the restorations done by the Film Heritage Foundation would be great.

The 2017 blu-ray used a HD master from the 4K restoration while the UHD used a later UHD master. Both used the same 4K restoration but framing was different actually: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=36

I would go for that - I have all four although I've only watched the first. After I did, it became one of my favourite Criterion boxes.

My wants never change:

Powell and Pressburger B&W films, but mostly IKWIG! and A Canterbury Tale.
Zabriskie Point

...and some other film that I've forgotten about

Edit: Search is my friend: Stray Dog! But the BFI have come to the rescue; I'll be getting that unless Criterion announce a UHD of it today

Watching A Canterbury Tale this morning on TCM and wishing this got more love. It is clearly one of Powell's most personal films, and perhaps their most mystical. Then there's 49th Parallel, which makes me proud as a Canadian (I need to feel proud about something right now). I want a boxset with:
  • The Small Back Room
  • 49th Parallel
  • A Canterbury Tale
  • I Know Where I'm Going
I guess we'll get I Know Where I'm Going, which is a great film with fabulous cinematography (Erwin Hiller threw away his light meter, the light was changing so much), but I worry the other B&W P&P will be forgotten.

I'd love Park Row it's such a shame it's been MIA since the MoC DVD went OOP. That one and White Dog would be great announcements for Fuller fans.

Nobody thinks Cronos 4k is going to get announced ? With BFI releasing it in UK, it's certain Criterion will pick it up in US . And there has been enough chatter that this is a forthcoming title from Criterion

I'm sure it's coming sometime this year.
