Only in-stock. But the October Criterion flash sale should arrive just in time for most of these, and then the Nov B&N sale.

No, pre-orders don't get the discount unless the come out during the sale. They will all be on sale for B&N's November sale though, and depending on when Criterion have their 24-Hour Flash sale, some will qualify in October at their site too.

By the way, does anyone own the old Janus Contemporaries releases? If so, are the words "Janus Contemporaries" listed anywhere on the package? If so, I'm curious if these films will be re-released with "Criterion Premieres" instead now.
They do on the spine.

Heck of a line-up! I'll be picking up Twin Peaks, Altered States and Nightmare Alley. I'm glad I watched The Shrouds first though. All for more Cronenberg in the collection, but that movie was terrible. Lots of interesting ideas, light on much of a cohesive plot.

Wow! I think I am all in for this month. I’ve never done that with any label before. Thanks Criterion!

It was rebranded just recently, I think within the last few weeks.

I disliked Criterion's cover for the original Nightmare Alley so I guess not liking the remake's cover fits.

It’s def in the same filmmaking mode as Crimes, though despite Shrouds subject matter, Crimes gets to a darker place somehow. I wasn’t crazy about Shrouds when I saw it in the theater but it has stayed w me.

Cronenberg & Scorsese seem to be on the same vibe though, where their later entries are these more introspective, ethereal journeys.

Also just an fyi, but it looks like Shrouds is w the Premiers line. There is a disclaimer below the description copy of the film.

Two Cronenbergs is overkill. Can you imagine if they did that with any other director?

Nice to upgrade A History of Violence from the Warner BD. In for The Shrouds and Altered States also.

Really surprised that they didn’t use October to put out Cronenberg’s Scanners and The Brood.

Make it a two-fer with A History of Violence. Hurt's performance was great (if all too brief).

That's actually one my favorites from the collection. The circus theme fit the movie perfectly. It also came with cards!
