Actually, I just checked the tracking and I am going to ship my pants. It is out for delivery today. 1 day shipping from Kentucky is nice, especially when it's free and I am not a member. CG, your state is very efficient, I am impressed. I get to dig into the Cassavetes set sooner than I thought.

I am a fellow score collector myself. I own most of the DE collection already and will pass on any super duper box sets by him. I think I spend most of my time on arksquare looking for scores that are not bootleg. Intrada is a nice site as well.

OMG that is insane!!
I would SOOO want that but $500...ouch! And that doesn't even include shipping and handling! Too bad there's no possibility of an Amazon Gold box or lightning deal. I'll check on it from time to time though, maybe we'll get lucky with a price drop but I doubt it

That's a tough one. I've always loved "Mystery Train", but I've got other Jarmusch titles that CC have released as DVDs (I have no doubt that they will eventually be released as BDs).

"Night On Earth" is another great film and I believe this one will make it to BD. Other very good titles are "Down By Law" and "Stranger Than Paradise".

NOT in Criterion Collection:

"Coffee And Cigarettes" and "Broken Flowers" are two other Jarmusch films that I can suggest.

Jim Jarmusch embraces quirky relationships in most of his films and these are heavily driven by dialogue. That is what makes them not only interesting, but entertaining to me.

Let me know if you're talking about my favs of ANY films...that's more difficult to answer.

Yes, we try to be the best. The ghost of D.W. Griffith makes sure everyone gets to see films as soon as they can when they ship from Kentucky.

Haha, ya, I was talking about Jarmusch films. I've seen them all, just wanted to compare our opinions!

Down By Law is my favorite in the Collection and, actually, the two you mentioned that aren't CC'd are my two favorites as well. I could watch Coffee And Cigarettes every single day, I think.


But yeah, agreed about his dialouge. Really is what always keeps me going back. Insane rewatchability for just about all his flicks.
