How long does this sale last? Can I wait for Army of Shadows the 11?

It works on pre-orders to. Just ordered Shock Corridor, Naked Kiss and Army of Shadows.

Do they charge the VISA when shipping or when ordering?

Unless a person is able to use coupons, I don't see how the 2/1 sale is really a sale Criterion wise, if the movies are $36.99. If one waits a little while, he or she can get 4 movies for what it would cost to get 3 from B&N.

they workout to about 24 or so each for me with tax pretty good for criterion pre-orders, plus you get 4 percent with ebates. Plus you will get them 6 months earlier. IF there is another criterion sale.

From Amazon. They have a lot of Criterions that are usually $24.99 Right now, a lot of their Criterions are $31 and change. With Amazon there is no tax in most states, or shipping, if one is a PRIME member or the order is at least $25.00.

I believe he is referring to - "If one waits a little while, he or she can get 4 movies for what it would cost to get 3 from B&N."

He is wondering where can you get 4 movies for the price of getting 3?

Amazon sales do not happen very often. 30-39 is the normal price on amazon.
You can get pre-orders at b&n for 24ish that is a great deal. Only going to be cheaper twice a year. Unless there is a great coupon like borders once and awhile.

Considering, without a membership, a Criterion is, like, $36, I think I might just buy only one for this week. I already pre-ordered Army of Shadows on Amazon with a gift card I had.

Yeah, but there's not many Criterion's left that I'm absolutely dying to get. I'd be interested in getting The Leopard, Play Time, and Close-up, but not to a point where I have to buy all of them. I'll probably just get one this week, and anticipate the real Criterion that I'm waiting for next week in Army of Shadows.

The twice-a-year B&N sales and Borders 50% off coupons are the best deals, but Amazon has consistently better prices year round.
I should have said pre-orders, my bad. Cheapest i have seen a pre-order on amazon for is 27.99 which is when they are first listed usually they stay at 29 or higher for a while. Exception is The Darjeeling Limited which was 24.99 on release. I remember the days they all stayed in the 20-25 range on amazon. Still don't know why that changed.

Ahhh yes, sorry. I aimed a little too high on that one and assumed people would just "know".

I didn't think anyone cared.

Just ordered 'Paths of Glory' and 'Breathless' from Amazon. Any idea which one I should watch first?

Good news for the CC types

1. Clouzot's Inferno is coming to Blu.

2. Flicker Alley are going Blu

The above courtesy of the good folks at Criterioncast.
