Well, technically either is possible, but the original is already on DVD, so it's likely a Blu-ray re-release.

But anything's possible.

I just got $10 in reward zone stuff, and was going to pick up on of the February releases next month if they carry it.
Unfortunately, I don't think so. Online, all of the SKUs for the October releases onward have "online only" SKUs. The last batch our store received were the Sept. titles...all except Breathless. We got Charade, MCML, and TRL. Nothing in Oct...

I posted this in Retail/shopping, but for those who don't check there often (like me) I thought I'd share here......

$20 Amazon GC for $5 was posted on slickdeals..... it's legit, just enter an email address.... Follow this link!

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/livingsocial.com

EDIT:

It's ONE DAY only to purchase this.... FYI

Site is getting hammered..... I was able to get one... not sure if you can use more than one, but people are buying a lot of multiples.... but buyer beware if you want more than one (I'm content with the one I got)

Thanks for the tip. It is still available, although now it is $20 for $10. Still a great deal!

Default Does By Brakhage include lossless audio track?

My copy of By Brakhage has only DD Mono track for those segments with sound. This is contrary to what is stated on the outer packaging and the official Blu-ray.com review. DVDTalk review concurs with this not having lossless audio. Does anyone else have a copy with lossless audio track?

I was able to claim one for $10. I then tried another link using the SAME registration information (it took it) and got another. I then went back to original I had claimed and refreshed the page and it showed ONE purchased in my count.

This may be easy enough to snag one but who knows if they'll honor multiple purchases...

I believe all of them have DD 1.0. Mine does. The packaging, surprisingly, seems to be incorrect. With the audio quality of the few that have sound being so low, it probably is no big deal and we're not missing out on much. I only remember a handful of them having audio anyway.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-mo...r-release.html

Had a good time reading this this morning...the first 6 or 7 pages. It's funny hearing people whine and complain about the supposed lossy audio and packaging before CC even released anything.

Now look how far they've come!

I bought Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence the other day, kind of on a whim. I haven't opened it, and I'm thinking about exchanging it for either Mystery Train, Bottle Rocket or Ride With the Devil. Any thoughts or ideas on this? Is Lawrence possibly going to be rare in the future?

I know...I thought it was pretty amusing.

So Beta, have you picked up all of the CC Blu ray releases? In the beginning of this forum, I remember you wrote (remember=just re-read it today) that you were going to collect all of the titles because they would be great conversation starters, etc...

When I read that quote earlier in '10, it prompted me to search and find a copy of The Third Man, which I scored for $50 at the time.

And then, I subsequently began to collect all of the BDs. So, you are to blame for my addiction...

...but I still try and watch them all!!

Which titles are you referring to? As for their Blu-Ray slate, I hardly think Oscar-winners for Best Picture needed to be saved from obscurity by the Voyager company.

As for titles like Salo -- Why would you want to see Salo? Why does anyone need to see Salo? What's next -- "The Criterion Collection: 2 Girls, 1 Cup"?

This was hilarious!

yeah

The two Fuller titles showed up the other day, bringing me "up to date"

Not really "conversation starters" I look at them as a hobby, but "collecting" them isn't the hobby.... watching them, appreciating the different styles etc. directors use, or the themes/styles they carry over from film to film, then of course there is the whole "Movements" like French-new-wave etc....

My self-education with the works is the hobby for me

I thought Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence was a great film. I'd recommend keeping it, but if I had to choose, go with Mystery Train.

It was kind of an odd blind buy for me.

Had I already seen it I probably wouldn't have bought it but now that I own it I'm glad I have it.

Whatever that means...

That is exactly how I feel now...after purchasing and viewing many of these films that I never would have had the chance to see...

Also, I was caught up at one point...but then the next month came...
