The live versions of those songs supposedly were something else entirely. I'm personally more of a Waters man myself (apart from The Final Cut) but even though his solo work is good (that's the case with all of the band members) they were definitely at their best as a band.

Really kinda bummed with the rumors so far, would really like something not yet released or something that people have not really heard of either.

Acutally, that link is for Argento's Inferno. Doesn't seem to be an entry for Clouzot's yet.

Yeah, it gets kind of boring to see the same titles released over and over, it's good when they come up with something no one else has managed to ever put out yet.... Or something I haven't imported yet.... Or something you've been waiting to come out with English subtitles that has never had them.

That said, I hope they get around to re-issuing those Antonionis on blu pretty soon.

hat "Inferno" is a film by Argento, "Clouzot's Inferno" is a documentary from 2010 about an unfinished film by Henri-Georges Clouzot. The latter is what Criterion will probably release.

Flicker Alley is releasing Henri-Georges Clouzot's Inferno. It's already up for pre-order at their site.

Not a Blu-ray release, but a very exciting release:

Adua e le campagne a.k.a Adua and her Friends, one of the best Italian films of the 60s. The British SDVD is not anamorphic, so at the very least I would expect this U.S. release to be anamorphic, and hopefully not a PAL-NTSC port.

UK release:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Secret of Dorian Grey is also a terrific film to own:

Haven't seen Solaris and come May the Bluray is mine. Now Criterion should upgrade Andrei Rublev the soonest!

I haven't seen any confirmation that it is out of print. Just the same, I am glad I was able to land one on Ebay recently.

I remember at one point a lot of Criterion fans were complaining that they weren't upgrading enough ..and now that they are we want more new titles

Funny how that works, in any case...I still think they do manage here and there to release a title that is not as well known. Personally, I had never heard of Broadcast News before, now that I have seen it..I'm very happy Criterion called my attention to the film. They continue to shed light on lesser known films...especially if you follow their Eclipse line. Sure it's not Blu...but still they release some interesting stuff that any serious cinephile would appreciate.
