I love how when Tiny Furniture is released, everyone complains how the spine number should have gone to Certified Copy. They pretty much reveal they're releasing Certified Copy, now it's a waste of a release. Some people are just never happy, that's a shame

Are there any news when and if Criterion will release Vengeance is Mine on Blu-ray?

They must have an awful IT department. Can't handle the traffic from an online sale and release the new titles in the same day. Woah, calm down! Don't want that place to turn into a sweat-shop! I can imagine the sweaty brows from all the arduous key-stroking.

Never complained about Tiny Furniture or said Certified Copy should be in. Its a bummer because Kiarostami has much better stuff they could be releasing (taste of Cherry redo) so its just a waste of time when Artificial Eye did a great job with it and its region free.

I've held off on the UK edition of Certified Copy (been very close to buying it for months), so I'm pleased with this.

Wait a sec, is it true that criterion.com still sells the defective white disc? Does anybody know? I just bought the set yesterday under the belief that they wouldn't.

Didn't they mention on facebook yesterday that their versions are all the corrected ones? I thought that's what someone said somewhere here..

I don't see how upgrading a title already in the collection is less of a "waste" than releasing a film that was highly praised but does not have a US release. Remember, Criterion is a US company...

They aren't listing them yet. The titles people are talking about are based on hints dropped here and there over the last couple of weeks.

Yeah I know, but today some guy was talking about them selling defective discs still: so I'm making sure that criterion isn't lying.

because their release of Taste of Cherry came out in 1999 with a less than spectacular transfer, and does not have a region free blu ray version out that can be had for well under $20.

also where are some of you getting Andrei Rublev? if its from the poster on tumblr, thats not a good indication.

It also doesn't have new elements yet to strike a nice looking blu-ray, either. So it's understandable why Certified Copy would come out first.
