And you, I thought you were younger!

I'm honestly surprised by how many people are in their late teens/early 20s here, but at the same time, not entirely surprised, given some of the choice titles people like.

I'm 26 going on 27 in August.

Anyone thinking Criterion are just being teases with them posting clips and such of Ace in the Hole and Children of Paradise to all their social media outlets?

Not sure about Ace, but Children Of Paradise was recently restored and was one of the clues in the New Year's drawing. So expect an upgrade later this year, hopefully.

New Year's clues aren't always reliable, as we know from Wild Strawberries.

We'll find out in about a week though.

And holy crap, I'm a believer now. The thread is shrinking, as Retablo's response used to be on its own page, and now it's not. WTH is going on?

An ACE IN THE HOLE upgrade would be sublime. It's one of the few DVD's I own.

Also, good work on the voting. Strangely, there are a lot of unique votes. There are only a few films which appear more than once out of 160+ entries. If anyone thinks of more films they want then please vote again by all means.

I am still waiting for Y Tu Mama Tambien. It feels like 4 years since it was picked out as a definite release and it has been in the last 2 New Years clues. Something to do with the transfer I think? Y Tu Mama Tambien is like Duke Nukem Forever. It will be out in time for the 20th Anniversary of the film.

I'm 38, and I'll be 39 in August. I was so young just a couple of years ago. Sigh.

No surprise about Spidey...he's young, but learned... But some of the others here are a surprise...Detriot was a bit of a surprise to me as well...

Just wait until you hit 50!

Am I the only regular poster here born before 1960?

I just crossed 40. But I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now. (Or, for the Ochs fans, I'm a quarter of a century old, but a half a century high... oh, wait... I'm stuck in the middle.)

Time for me to pop some Centrum and watch Wild Strawberries to re-evaluate it all.

Hey...I was checking out the total posts list for this thread and I noticed the absence of Joe Dalek, who was just above me for most posts. SpiderBaby is the undisputed king (ain't no one catching him), CCFixx is second, BetaMan is third and Joe was fourth and I was fifth. I no longer see his name listed.

Is he still with us?

I want Ace in the Hole too, I PVRed it when it was on a few weeks ago, as I haven't watched it in a bit. I haven't had a chance to revisit it since I PVRed it though, and hope to get to it this weekend.

I readily admit that some of those unique titles are probably me. I think I'm the only one who wants to see such titles as After the Fox, Lord Love a Duck, The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming, Leave Her to Heaven, The Producers 1968, Babette's Feast, and Night of the Strangler. I think some of the Bergmans I put might have a few double votes, if anyone else wants Persona or The Virgin Spring. Ditto for some of the Kurosawas I put in.

Yay! Phil Ochs. Apparently he and the late Davy Jones knew each other, as I found out last night, they were good neighbours in California. I also readily admit that I thought of The Byrds version of the first lyrical quote of "My Back Pages" over Bobby Dylan's version.

I just felt that your online presence was more youthful, whereas SB's seemed to be much older. I honestly would have thought you were 23, and SB was 41.

Am I still the only girl who posts regularly in this thread?

What are everyone's thoughts on A Night To Remember? Popped up in my Amazon Gold box. Not sure if I should bite or wait for the B&N sale.

Les Enfants du Paradis is almost assuredly coming within the year, if not on shelves then at least via upgrade announcement. The newest French restoration was completed a while ago and it's being released on blu in France sometime this year. Criterion's edition will probably come after that release, I'd speculate. Either way, that's an easy snatch-up for me.

Late to the party (what do you expect from an old geezer? ) but I turned 66 this year. As Moms Mabley would say "I'm older than dirt." Surely everybody remembers Moms Mabley?
