It's only the one book (and it works on other devices such as my rooted Nook Color and the iJesusPhone), and like I said, I've had the eReader for almost 2 years now. Time for a newer and better one. I'm looking at the Nook because of the built-in backlight, and because it does ePub, which is the defacto standard for eBooks. Amazon just has to be difficult by having their own proprietary format.

Anyways, I'm switching back to paper because my dad dropped off my copies of Zazie dans le metro and The Leopard. Gives me time to charge the Sony to start Pillars of the Earth.

That listing could be when he finished the films, not when they were released maybe (films like Maria Braun had many release dates). Also take in account half of these are made for T.V. films, and 40+ films in a decade+. I want to say Jim's Reviews are the order I go in, as does other sites like IMDB (good site that Jim's Reviews is too). BUT the Foundation knows more than all.

I don't have a huge problem with order, as I put the BRD trilogy after In a Year With 13 Moons on my dvd shelf anyways, since it consists of 2 other films made way after it.
I think you're right about the Foundation's site being the production dates. It even says so when you click on the film. Thanks for that input!

In other news, is Heaven's Gate coming anytime soon?

If your a Leone fan, as I am, its kind of a nobrainer IMO. 3 movies at a low price by Leone with Lee Van Cleef, Eastwood & Eli Wallach. As far as quality its a mixed bag.

Fistful of dollars appears to be cropped or even zoomed. There is a better Italian version that is region free available that doesn't have these cropping issues.. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Per-U...Blu-ray/12078/
A Few Dollars More looks fine with a consistent grain and looks the best out of the bunch.
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly appears soft and has some fairly obvious DNR applied.

All in all I thought these movies looked good even with the issues mentioned and they definitely looked better then my DVD's. They could look better, but I somehow doubt we will see another release for a long time. Being a huge Leone fan I was just happy to have these in HD. Atleast the audio is lossless and the discs have pretty much all the special features on them.

The reviewer here actually gave these reviews on PQ.
A Fistful of Dollars a 3.5/5
For A Few Dollars More a solid 4/5
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly a 3/5

Do they normally include things like t-shirts and prints in their flash sales? I want to say they don't but I can't remember for sure.

Don't worry they will announce a flash sale right after you go to sleep tonight. It will be over by the time you wake up in the morning.

Yeah, I figured that was the case. For one thing, I don't have any of their t-shirts...how much more evidence do I need?

I'd get more of those other items if they included them. I do have their Hausu shirt, which I love.

Well kids, Zazie dans le metro (translated of course) was a quick and wonderful read. I'm impressed with Malle's adaptation even more now, as the book is potentially unfilmable if left in the wrong hands. If you haven't read, please do so. I'm off to start The Leopard now.

Has there been a newsletter this month?

I got a mail on the 10th about the B&N sale, 'New at Criterion.com' on the 16th and one today about the Gremillion Eclipse set but I don't see a newsletter anywhere.

The suspense is killing me, but I don't see Criterion cannibalization the BN sale with a sale of its own to celebrate 100,000.

However, the BN sale doesn't technically include pre-orders, so if Criterion really wanted to celebrate in a timely manner.......
