I just got done watching "The Game". I had the DVD for years, but I never got around to watching it. Let me just say that this movie is fantastic! The audio and the quality are great! It looks like it was just recorded and as if I was watching it at the movie theaters. I didn't even need to crank up the volume to hear it.

I really enjoy mystery / thriller films, and I have been a fan of David Fincher for some time. I specifically enjoy The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Fight Club, and Seven. I can say with affirmation that "The Game" had been added to my list of films that I enjoy.

If you're contemplating getting this, then don't hesitate and grab it immediately! You won't be disappointed!

Nothing would make me happier than if Criterion announced Vanilla Sky. I would love to see it on Blu-Ray, especially from Criterion. I think Tom Cruise's mask on the ground would be a great cover!

Also, I would really love Mulholland Drive to be announced. Hell, they can even go further and release a David Lynch Criterion Collection Set with Blue Velvet, The Elephant Man, Eraserhead, Inland Empire, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive, and if they want they can throw in Wild At Heart and some shorts

Thanks for the responses, I am considering ordering Weekend and Breathless, what do people make of these two films?

Breathless is, to me, very much essential viewing. I can't recommend it enough, if you haven't seen it. It's such a perfect introduction to the genre it represents as Abdrewes pointed out there that you might be interested in. I assume you mean Godard's Week End there? If so, I have not yet seen it but I'm sure others here can offer opinions on it.

I am indeed referring to Godard's week end, anyone who has seen that film I would very much appreciate their opinion.

Thanks for your opinion, it may be long overdue but I am getting into French New Wave and from what you said Breathless would seem a logical follow-on from The 400 blows.

This is news. I've only ever seen the one that looks like a Japanese bus tour brochure.

If the top one is alt-legit, then it looks like a double-dip for Criterion 'completists'.

The top one is the original cover design which was changed before release.

It does go by Weekend on this site, but seeing as there is a different Criterion blu-ray with that title as well, I wanted to make sure .

It is a very logical choice...I would also highly recommend his Vivre Sa Vie if it interests you.

iJesusPhone? LOL!!!

Be careful what you wish for. While I love my Droid Razr Maxx, it does have its share of Android specific issues. I've experienced similar things on my first Droid, the DroidX.

My wife's iPhone is great. Only thing that has me spoiled now is the Maxx's battery life. But at my job, I get 1 Droid phone per year for cheap with a concession plan for $30 a month...unlimited everything, so I can't complain. iPhones aren't included in this offer.

You know, if we're going to get movies from all of the artists they created a page for on their site, we should be getting something from Lynch soon. Maybe just Eraserhead, but still...it could be the start of a wonderful new relationship! Maybe if we still don't have the other 3 newer Lynch's (Mullholland Dr., Lost Highway, Inland Empire) on BD within a few years, CC can scoop them up.

It took almost 10 years for Lost Highway to come out on R1 DVD. My widescreen VHS copy was pretty beat up!

Where did you get your copy? Planet Axl?

Amazon says theirs will ship if ordered right now, but BBY's website still shows 9/25 as its release date, as does CC's site.

Weekend probably isn't the best starting spot for Godard, I'd start with Breathless and move on to Vivre Sa Vie, Band of Outsiders, Pierrot le Fou, ect if you enjoy it. I just rewatched Masculine Feminine for the first time in a number of years and really enjoyed it.

That's because you have a Motorola. I'll never use them again after the original Razr, which my iJesusPhone replace. I call my iPhone the iJesusPhone sarcastically if you haven't figured that out.

I know android has issues, but I like the fact that it's more open and customisable than the iPhone before rooting. I'm currently playIng around with a hacked Nook color running ICS, so it's not like I haven't use the OS before.

I also want a Criterion app. Perhaps it could be like the TCM one.

I'm not sure if this was answered:

Is it a better viewing experience to watch the DVD or the Blu-ray of Children of Paradise?

Oh I got the iPhone joke...I understand it as well. I am a fan of Apple products, but I also understand why many people are not, or would rather use Android or Windows for their devices.

I've heard of rooting the Nooks with Android, and have heard positive things about the experience. Do you know if the Kindle Fires (or the new HD version) can be rooted with Android?

And what is the TCM app like? I'm not familiar with it! I dont' get 4G or 3G or anything in my office at school so I can't download it now.
