Yeah, add Life Aquatic and Wild Strawberries so people can lay those bad boys to rest lol

I would love an upgrade of this, but I don't think we'll see it any time soon or at all. I am still going to try to track down the Criterion DVD copy (as I have the standard DVD). The remake was stupid lol.

No idea, as just about everything is a blind buy for me Criterion wise.

But does the top of this cover look like a fox smiling? The guys head looks like the fox's nose from far away.

Isn't that another one rumored to come out? Someone also said we were rumored to get upgrades of Spartacus and Spy Who Came In From The Cold, but who knows?

Spartacus was highly rumored prior to the current release, and although not impossible, I don't believe they have the rights but I could be wrong.....

Bicycle Thieves is one that is brought up a lot, but I am not sure it was hinted at formally by Criterion.

Earlier this year (or maybe it was last year) Criterion posted a blurry image of a piece of paper with a list of titles they were working on. There was a lot of speculation what the titles were, but one that people thought they could make out was Spartacus.

I really hope Criterion releases a BD of Spartacus because the Universal one is awful.

Spartacus will eventually be upgraded as will Do The Right Thing which I don't think has been mentioned. Universal seems ok with 2 versions of titles out there as evidenced by the DVDs and Blus of Brazil, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Dazed And Confused and Videodrome.

Don’t forget Traffic.

Guess you’re right, I only hope we’ll see a Spartacus Criterion Blu sometime next year.

Bad Day at Black Rock is something I'd like to see on Blu-ray. It has Spencer Tracy in an interesting story, set in a small town, in the middle of nowhere. It was filmed in Cinemascope (or some variation on it) and there are some fast, dizzying horizontal pans. I don't know whether the photographer didn't know the "rules" about a horizontal pan in that format or chose to deliberately break them. If I remember correctly, the DVD is single-layer, but looks good enough that the film might really be something on Blu-ray. Rock O'Clock may know more about the use of Cinemascope in that particular film.

Desk Set is another good Spencer Tracy movie and has Katherine Hepburn.
