Friedkin's Rampage is one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen. Can't believe that was never released on DVD.

Awesome stuff - I didn't know the Evil Dead double-pack was still sold!

I don't want to pick it up for investment purposes but I don't want another Third Man situation where I want to own it but it's extremely difficult to now.
Are you a fan of Wong Kar-Wai's films?
It's related to Fallen Angels and has a similar feel to it, but is much more fun and carefree.
I adore it and many others also love it, but Wong Kar-Wai can be an acquired taste for some.

You won't be able to get it from B & N at 50% off...they only have it from third party sellers. Amazon at $23.xx is the best you will do at this time.

You should watch Fallen Angels. It was originally going to be the third story in Chungking Express, but was made into its own movie.

For all who are keen on more Wong Kar-Wai, Kino have both Fallen Angels and Happy Together as separate titles and as a double-pack.
I love Happy Together almost as much as In The Mood For Love.

Edit: I just checked and Fallen Angels and Happy Together are cheaper if you buy them separately. They're only $16.97 at the moment! Jump on 'em!

I bought mine instore earlier this week. Definitely depends how much traffic your local B&N gets, i suppose.

It has a slip. I just put it next to my bigger Criterion's like Three Colors, Night of the hunter.

Just make sure it's the blu-ray and NOT the DVD version.

Agreed...but you bought yours "in-store" and not online...no copies of the blu-ray are available at 50% off "online".

I just checked right now says Blu-ray, it costs 19.99 and Criterion is the distributor.

According to this it's the Miramax version but I don't know what's the difference. Both UPCs (715515033329 & 715515068413) are listed in the DVD Profiler database and (except for packaging) they appear to be identical.

Both in Amazon and Barnes there are two versions: One that is discontinued and other that is still available. I haven’t seen a Miramax BD version just Criterion and in the B&N page both Chungking Express (discontinued and available) are listed to be BD, to have been released on Dec. 16, 2008 and Criterion is listed as the distributor. The difference is that the discontinued one has the actual cover art while the one that is available has the Miramax DVD cover but I think that is just an error.

That's my post; I was going by the covers, not the upc. I don't know, considering the cover doesn't look like any criterion I've seen, and there is a separate Criterion blu-ray listing on b&n... and the Criterion on Amazon is only $3-4 more... and there is a Mirimax listing with a matching cover here:
http://www.amazon.com/Chungking-Expr...ng+express+blu

I would save some potential hassle & just get a for-sure Criterion copy from Amazon.

You can also order a replacement case (Their normal case with artwork) from Criterion's website. I got one along with cases for The Last Emperor and The Last Metro. The link is below.
