![]() Wim Wenders seems incredibly fantastic. I can't wait to try out Buena Vista Social Club, very soon. Tonight, though, it's Summer Hours! Last edited by andsoitgoes; 01-18-2013 at 05:35 AM. |

That is kinda sad but true. Overseas there are sometimes cheaper and sometimes better editions then what the US offers. Plus the fact that there are titles you can't get in the US.

I am very sad Criterion doesn't leave the region open like some of the more prolific publishers do.
That said, amazon UK has been great. Maybe not for the best of the best movies, but when I can pick up the Jurassic Park, Bourne, Back to the Future and Lethal Weapon box sets for around, or under, $15 a piece, I'm not going to argue. And I'll never forget being able to get The Sound of Music collectors set from .ca for $13. I think that was one of my best hauls yet. |

Compared to me whining a bit in Canada, I guess we don't have it so bad. But at the same time, I see the cheap prices almost from my window, so that makes it a hell of a struggle. Can you imagine if US and Canada combined? I wonder how many generations until we start to give up these petty ploys for power and care about solving the problems of the world? |

No kidding. I love what criterion has done. They are making home video the true thing home video should be. There's always something they put in, no matter how little. The rare exception is rare indeed.
If I could choose a career, it would be working with them to help propel our experiences when we spend money to be as good as possible. I may own a lot of movies, but the only ones I truly appreciate in any meaningful way are criterion films, or films that take the same care, like Studio Canal. |

Having said that, I have occasionally taken advantage of the 2 for $20 deals at JB HI FI ![]() |
