Was saving for the B&N sale but the Criterion flash sale will do just fine. Ordered 10 blu rays and it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to 10. Need more money.

I ended up getting 11(!) films:
On the Waterfront
Diabolique
The Last Temptation of Christ
The Leopard
The Kid With a Bike
Following
The Killing
Army of Shadows
The Red Shoes
Letter Never Sent
Solaris

Following and Solaris are the only two that I have previously seen; everything else is a blind buy.

I would really recommend picking up Night Of The Hunter now. It's one of the best films that I've ever seen and you'll be engrossed from start to finish.

It's all good, because I can gradually buy Criterions for the same prices with the occasional Barnes and Noble coupons anyway. I decided that I want to take some time to catch up on watching Blu-rays in my current collection, and there are a couple of big races that I want to put money aside for this month.

It was still tough not to pull the trigger on the America Lost and Found set, though.

You're in for a huge treat with The Kid with a Bike. The Dardenne brothers' best film since Le fils.

Dammit, I was hoping it would get pushed back and happen in mid March since the Mizoguchi Eclipse that I ordered and was cancelled during the BN sale is supposed to be back in stock on March 15th.

Oh well, ordered the titles I don't currently have:

Ballad Of Narayama
The Kid With The Bike
Sansho The Bailiff
Chronicle Of A Summer

Glad I was wrong, there was a Flash sale after all.
Sad I was too slow on the draw to get Ivan's Childhood. Oh well, B&N, here's to July -- I'm looking at you.

$20.99 for Seven Samurai was a damn good price for those lucky enough to have snagged it on Amazon the other day.

In demand stuff typically sells fairly quickly during the flash sales, but I'm shocked at how quickly they went out of stock on Waterfront, Man Who Knew Too Much and Ivan's Childhood.

Luckily, I had already picked those up. It's my day off and I was sleeping late and hadn't seen the sale until a few minutes ago.

Stupid indecision.

Meant to get On the Waterfront, Brazil, and Sansho the Bailiff. Instead went with Following, Sansho, and Two Lane Blacktop.

I really hope the BN B2G1 overlaps with the CC sale again this summer. That way I can get On the Waterfront, Brazil, and a 3rd $50 BD for cheaper.

Never, never hesitate.

I find 21 and 32 to be essential. The only other ones I have from those are 17 and 18 which are also fantastic.

Thank you. I honestly think I will end up settling with 1, 17, 18, 21, 32, and 34.

Just On The Waterfront. Self-restraint is soooo difficult.
