Just opened my Leon Morin and first of all, my case plastic is "bubbled" and is cheap feeling. Also the booklet has a mild tear.
They are clearly selling used copies as new and it pisses me off.

I did get 50 percent back but still, it's fraudulent

I'm sorry to hear that people are getting dicked over by Amazon on these out-of-print Melville films. Hopefully, the Blu-rays themselves are still good, even if they have dropped the ball on the cases. Looks like a scramble to find remaining copies of the movies in any remote semblance on the part of Amazon in order to get the orders to customers one way or another.

Well damn. After buying Badlands from Best Buy this morning. I came home and ordered Brazil, Repo Man, and Naked lunch. All shipped and sold by Amaon

You guys were saying the Repo Man case is larger than normal Criterion's? Kind of like the Night of the Hunter one?

Criterion lost the rights years ago (in 2004-2005) and they reverted back to Warner.

Lately I've found myself collecting more and more Criterion titles. So far I've seen seven of these, working my way through the rest.

Nice. To me Criterion's are all I'm going to collect from now on.

1. Digibooks? Not enough of them out there.
2. Steelbooks? Not enough and too inconsistent with Foreign and store exclusives.
3. Disney Movies, I have most of the best ones.
4. Slip covers? Don't care.

Does the DigiPack of anyone else's copy of Repo Man stick out of the case more than it should?

The back of the artwork, the text specifically, looks as if I had printed it off my printer with low ink. The wrapping looks like a rewrap. There is no blue Criterion sticker. I chatted with an Amazon rep (who was very bad at English) and all they offered me was 30% off or to return the item and wait for a new one to come in stock which I know wont happen. I asked repeatedly for an explanation on whether or not this could be a used or repackaged item or even possibly a bootleg. Again, this person I was chatting with did not communicate well so I just took the 30% off but I am still left wondering about the BD. Can anyone take high res pics of their AoS back cover?
It sounds like you might have the same concerns that I had with my copy of Army of Shadows, which I also bought from Amazon. The small text on the back right side made me wonder, because the fine reverse print isn't white ... instead it's a shade of grey that's just a little bit lighter than the darker blue-grey background color ... small enough and dark enough that it's hard to even tell if the text is crisp or blurred. I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to above or not. Personally, I'm leaning that it isn't a flaw ... that's just the way it was printed.

I went ahead and opened my copy of AoS. I'm pretty convinced that it's legit. The cover's print job is good and the stock it's printed on looks and feels solid. The disc itself looks good too. The booklet has a couple of very minor tears on 3 of the innermost pages, but I don't think it's anything I would even mention in a normal situation. One of the booklet's corners is very slightly bent, but hardly alarming ... not even creased. I popped the bluray into my player and it works just fine. I only feel bad that I had to turn it off to write this post, as the movie was digging its hooks into me from the outset. Can't wait to watch the whole thing (maybe not today though ... we'll see).

No. Mine is the same as other recent digipacks from them like On the Waterfront and Sansho the Bailiff.

It's not that, it just seems bigger than the cardboard case, thus causing it to stick out..

Can you give us exact measurements, compare it to Dazed for instance?
