Well, I guess now I'll definitely buy Howards End in the upcoming sale:

Satan?

So, Criterion is going to release the original 192 min. cut of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World? That s the only palatable explanation...

I hope it is It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Firstly, I love the film. Secondly, I held off buying the current release due to the whole Theatrical v Roadshow brouhaha. I don't even think I've seen the Roadshow, but still, enough drama caused me to hold off.

As awesome as Savage Planet would be, why would they use earth four times? I am on my phone, but what is the image name? Wackyearth or wackyworld planet, what? If its world, then that's just further evidence.

Oh, it's definitely a stretch. Sauvage doesn't really translate as savage in that context.

It was more stream of consciousness than anything else.

I saw that film last year and now it is one of my favorite post-apocalyptic films.

It's not 4 different ones...I'm pretty sure that's the same one going through 4 different stages of emotion..which would make that choice a possibility I guess.

(right?)

I ordered a copy of Playtime from Amazon on June 3rd, while it was in stock, and it's been sitting as an open order since then. Should I just assume I'm never going to get it?

I know that there's already a Blu-ray out, but I'm hard-pressed to see how this could not be It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. That cartoon is such a perfect fit for the title.

Of course, the To Be or Not to Be hint was perfect fit for Frances Ha as well.

In truth, I'm just hoping to see Stanley Kramer in the fold, because that might mean a Criterion of The Defiant Ones in the future.

There is so much lacking with the current release of IAMMMMW that I can see Criterion getting the rights to release it.

At least that is what I am hoping for.

It would be a waste of a release if it is indeed IAMMMMW. there's so much not yet out on BluRay to be rereleasing stuff

I know people love the film, but I am yet to make it all the way through it . For some reason I find the film tedious. But it is not unlikely Criterion would release it even though MGM already has. They have double dipped with Universal on quite a few titles.
