They did a long time ago. The problem is that they are probably waiting for Cuaron to finish Gravity so that he can approve a transfer, etc.

Damn - I'm assuming he owns every DVD, Blu-ray, and Eclipse.

Definitely give it a watch sooner than later.

I've all but given up hope on completing the "collection" but I do have every Blu-ray, with the exception of the few that have just been released (which I'll get during this sale )
Collecting the whole blu-ray portion of the Criterion Collection is at least a reasonable venture to undertake even if you only started recently. (Although as more come out and more go out of print it becomes a little less reasonable each month). I'm glad to be at the maintenance/new release stage of the process.

It's a great documentary, but for me Crumb and For all Mankind are a bit more rewatchable.

I bought War Room yesterday, im going to find out how that one stands to multiple viewings.

Like you, I am most interested in the subject matter, but for me nothing in the presentation detracts from that. I was actually thinking about how Harvey Milk is a title that doesn't get enough mention here.

I can definitely see how some people wouldn't find it appealing, however.
It's one of my favorite Criterion BDs, and I'm thrilled that they released it.

I haven't seen Crumb in about ten years, but I enjoyed it a lot, and I keep thinking about picking it up. I totally agree about For all Mankind. The more popular documentary that I was hinting at in my post that just didn't do enough for me was Grey Gardens. I enjoyed it, but wasn't left with the feeling of needing to see it again. I will probably try it again at some point, just in case I wasn't in the right mood for it when I watched it.

One of the reasons I want to finally pick it up is so that I can dig into all of the supplements some day. It seems to be a pretty extensive release.

Sweetie was my first Jane Campion film, and I liked it a lot. Seems anyone with a dysfunctional family (which probably includes EVERYONE) can appreciate it. It's on my want-to-own list, but will probably wait to receive as a gift from said dysfunctional family.

Are you supposed to put Criterion digipacks on the shelf with the opening facing outward? Like the exact opposite of normal digipacks?

If you want Godard, you should check out Vivre Sa Vie first. Otherwise, I'd probably recommend Au Revoir Les Enfants (so underrated and not often talked about) and Repulsion, with Hunger close behind.

Haha. Sounds like such a ridiculous question, but honestly, I go a few months with them facing inward, and then, in an effort to spruce up my spines with different, unfamiliar colors, I switch them back to facing outward. So I'm an 'alternator.'

Masinthe,

My two choices would be Hunger and Au Revoir Les Enfants.

Tough decision. If you're interested in the history of the French New Wave, I'd go with Breathless for Godard. I prefer Vivre Sa Vie, however, and find it endlessly rewatchable. For the other titles, also a tough decision between Repulsion, Au Revoir Les Enfants, and Videodrome. Videodrome may be my favorite Cronenberg but may only be for certain tastes. Au Revoir is a great based-on-true-events of the director, Louis Malle, and I loved it on second viewing, but not sure how many views it needs. Repulsion may be the easy bet here, a great one from Polanski to rival Rosemary's Baby, his more well-known film.

One of my favorite Cronenberg films. I took me a second viewing to get past the robotic dialogue, but I think it's fantastic.
