His work has never really been on my radar until recently. The only reason I saw Carrie was when I was on a 70/80's horror kick.

I've never seen Passion, but that film is a remake of Love Crime, which I have seen and loved.

I want Love Crime on domestic Blu-ray. Ludivine Sagnier is fun to look at.

I've seen a handful of these...

Sliver: Dumb movie, but there are a couple of erotic scenes, and I love Massive Attack's "Unfinished Sympathy".

Cheeky: Not a great film by any stretch, but it is definitely good for the erotic category.

Basic Instinct 2: Basically, it stinks too.

Striptease: This is listed as an erotic movie? *laughter*

Jade: Definitely erotic. Also quite grisly, though.

Secretary: I wouldn't mind seeing this one again. Not one of the best, but it's decent.

Note: I think DePalma's best films are not his gangster ones (Scarface, Carlito's Way, Untouchables). I prefer his thrillers: Dressed To Kill, Blow Out, Body Double, Femme Fatale and maybe even The Fury.

(I've been meaning to read Keith Uhlich's piece on The Black Dahlia, but he levied quite the defense for it on The Cinephiliacs)

The Image is a must. That's my favorite one.

Girl on a Motorcycle is a lot of fun, and The Sex Thief is much less fun than it should be.

I liked Monamour a lot for its style, but most other people don't. I didn't like Cheeky, but really his films are hit or miss for me (some of them I like for style and fun-factor, others are overwhelming with not much but female nudity that I can't stand them). I'd say his early films on DVD are the best options.

Demoniacs I can recommend, but then..I can recommend almost anything Rollin...which, also..not for everyone.

I know people like Secretary, but it's 'meh' for me as well.

Have you seen Chloe?

I made a special trip to the theater to see this one, because I have a soft spot for Amanda Seyfried. It's not a great movie, and the conclusion is a lame letdown, but the movie certainly has its moments on the erotic front.

To my discredit, I laughed out loud during one scene where Amanda Seyfried's character has a bicycle accident. The people in front of me in the theater turned around and glared at me briefly. I can be somewhat inconsiderate at times, I guess.

Funny you should mention Chloe

the landing is a bit rough, but it soared for soo long. Plus, Amanda Seifreid is a total knockout. I would have not say through In Time if it wasn't for Roger Deakin's and that fine woman.

Yeah, I've gotten mine from them or DeepDiscount. Cult Epics titles sometimes have great prices on Amazon, too, once in a while. I hope you see that one, in particular, soon!

I loved Amanda Seyfried's look in In Time. She's more beautiful in that movie than she's ever been, and that's saying a lot. I was not crazy about the movie itself, but it was alright.

Your description of Chloe is spot-on. It is a solid erotic thriller for a long while until the disappointing conclusion. I see this one at used Blu-ray stores a lot, and I pick it up every time. I'll probably pull the trigger one day when I'm in a specific sort of mood, because I'm sure that it looks great in high definition.

Now that I remember, actually visually it has more going for it than any other aspect. Been a while since I saw it...I think I saw it before seeing the first one..so I don't remember all that much..funny enough, the sex scenes are what I remember most
