(I expected the MC clue would be a diagram of crossing the street, and an arrow to identify that the pedestrian was walking -> here.)

Criterion's Beauty and the Beast is in more collections than Midnight Cowboy.

A Midnight Cowboy Criterion would be great! The movie that came to mind when I saw the picture was Ratcatcher seeing as how it's in the collection, but it's more likely to be Midnight Cowboy.

It's this.

I googled it and it was released on DVD by The Collection back in 1997 or something like that.

I hope it's Midnight Cowboy. I've been wanting to get it, but I'd rather hold out for a special edition release.

Erm...what?

My whole point was that Midnight Cowboy's showing (or lack thereof) in collections is largely meaningless. Was that really not clear?

They always put one of the pieces of the drawing in blue if its an upgrade though, so I don't think its a Ratcatcher upgrade.
Also have doubts about it being Midnight Cowboy but would LOVE IT if it was true! Its in my top ten favorite films and the current blu ray is nothing to write home about.

Alright. Listen to this. If you add up all the collection numbers for Wes Anderson films (bottle rocket, rushmore, tenenbaums, moonrise, mr.fox, darjeeling) you get 14,386.

Now, divide that by 21.6006 and what do you get?

That's right, 666.

I did not make that up.

But wait, someone posted a picture of a Midnight Cowboy laserdisc, so wouldn't that be an upgrade too?

Someone also mentioned earlier that Criterion is releasing It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World even though MGM already released it, but in that instance they are releasing a different version of the film. What would Criterion bring to the table that's different from the already extant Midnight Cowboy blu?

I think it could be the Witches. Or how about Willard

Not quite. Their laserdiscs dont really apply to the same rules as dvd upgrades.
They could definitely improve on the transfer by doing more clean up work than what it was given. Probably do more special features too as there werent too many on the current release.

If its either Ratcatcher, The Witches or Midnight Cowboy, I'll be pleased with any of those.

Maybe it's the 1932 Warner Bros. film Taxi!, in which James Cagney says "Come out and take it, you dirty yellow-bellied rat, or I'll give it to you through the door!" (usually misquoted as "You dirty rat, you killed my brother!")
