It has an HD version on iTunes currently (courtesy of Criterion), which - if Scanners, Eraserhead et al are anything to go by - would indicate an upgrade to blu at an as-yet unannounced date too!

also Pro-B gave a 'not so good' review for the PQ for one of the other films in the sets. don't know if that sways your decision making process.

I enjoyed Les Miserables so I have no problem watching a musical style film. I can understand how some may not enjoy that type of film though.

Satyajit Ray remains one of my biggest blindspots. Haven't seen one yet. Netflix has a few available, unfortunately none of the blus yet. :/

Keep an eye on Ebay for the Toshiba BDX1100, I paid £38 for a brand new one at the beginning of this year, and that price included next day courier delivery!
