Criterion B&N sale won't be until another month on the beginning of November and ends on December. I think B&N Sale would be the best bet to get Fellini since that's when the boxset comes out. I'm guessing you want to preorder it so I guess flash sale should be the choice and that will happen real soon so don't worry.
I asked the board when Fellini was announced and people were saying the flash sales don’t apply to pre-orders unfortunately.

I have a pre-order in at Amazon and will probably Pre-order in November for B&N and return the one that isn’t damaged. I definitely am not waiting to buy in store with their spider wraps

Criterion flash sales are only good for in-stock items.

Adoration (2008) - Expiring from The Criterion Channel

A woman in Muslim garb walks up to a man putting up Christmas decorations and accuses the Jews of killing Jesus. In any other movie, that would be a cheap exploitative stunt. Here, it's one of the many ways people's religious, ideological, and philosophical differences are explored.

Canada's Atom Egoyan has always been a very interesting director. Adoration is, I believe, the third movie I've seen of his - with the other two being Where the Truth Lies and Chloe - and this is easily the best of them.

It's about a boy (played by Devon Bostick, who later became famous for the Wimpy Kid movies) who re-imagines his parents' death to be part of a terrorist plot and writes a story about it in class.

His French teacher, who also runs the Drama department, encourages him to read it in front of an audience - with one caveat: pretend it really happened. The boy takes it even further by posting it online. Soon, he's talking to people all over the world via a multi-window video chat - similar to Zoom - and presenting his fictional story as factual. It quickly "goes viral" - long before that was even a phrase. (I could be wrong or misremembering, but the video seems a little too clear and the technology too advanced for 2008.)

The boy is raised by his uncle (Scott Speedman, who looks like a dead ringer for WWE wrestler Seth Rollins - in this movie, at least - and wrestling fans can tell you how irritating he is right now!). We see flashbacks of his parents. There is also a grandfather with his own take on their relationship and how they died.

DaBargainHunta's Decree: This is honestly a very difficult movie to describe - I've barely even scratched the surface - but it's a bold, beautiful, and powerful piece of filmmaking. (Captions/Subtitles: Yes!)

Rarely. I won't say I haven't seen an exception, but it's very very uncommon

Look, I might get destroyed here for suggesting but if Arrow isn't ever going to release Four Flies on Grey Velvet, why not Criterion? If they could untangle the public domain issues for Night of the Living Dead, why not untangle whatever issues is preventing us here in Region A to get Argento's 3rd film?

I just imported the Shameless version from the UK. You can expect a region A announcement within weeks.

This is interesting, but if true, it must not have been too egregious seeing that Lancaster and Visconti worked again.

I've heard that Lancaster could be very difficult to work with and often second guessed many aspects of the productions he was involved with, but people forget that he was a genuine producer with his own company and was certainly not a dilettante. He was a very intelligent, committed artist and at least some of his creative "impositions" over the years were well regarded and not dismissed outright. In addition, he put his money where his mouth is and personally helped finance films that were struggling to be completed, such as THE SWIMMER and GO TELL THE SPARTANS. Director Ted Post told me he loved Burt and stated that SPARTANS would never have been finished without his money. Now I'm not saying Lancaster knew better than Visconti, I'm just saying that if that Sight And Sound piece is to be believed, why would Visconti ever agree to work with Lancaster again?

Oh and full disclosure: I am not a fan at all of Sight And Sound.

Any chances for more Akira Kurosawa to the collection on Blu-ray disc? No idea if they've regained the rights to RAN or not. Keeping my DVD release of it.

Perhaps, but less likely from Criterion. I suspect Dressed to Kill is the closest they get to Giallo.

I mean, it's definitely true as Visconti disowned it in the New York Times, and there's a 1963 article in the Chicago Tribute about how Fox was threatening to countersue Visconti for disparaging the American cut of the film. (The Sight and Sound article was from 1964 and had a lot of background on the very public fight that was happening.)

But yes, it would seem to be a relationship-ender. But Lancaster was very seductive and also seemed proficient in resolving grudges that would have derailed any other relationship. I mean, by the time Frankenheimer got to Seven Days of May, he was pretty much resolved that he was never gonna work with Lancaster again, and then they wound up having the best experience of their collaborations. That just seemed to be how it rolled with Lancaster - maybe because he WAS a producer and could understand that side of the business.

So far I already have to juggle deepdiscount, bluray forum, bluray site, wiki. If I don't have to add another one I'm more than happy. You'd think, that's not too much - except that this is not the only activity I do so I have already enough tabs open and tasks to do.
So again, thank you to the forumers.
you don't have to open another tab here, just type the film at ths top

Thanks! Hoping Red Beard would possibly be next or another one of his more contemporary set titles regarding another release. Don't own any of his films on BD yet. Many are available on DVD Netflix but it'd be re-arranging the queue again.

Color grading is utter crap. Ruins the film in my opinion. If Criterion releases it, I truly hope they don't use the same scan. (They will)

That could possibly work. The film has always looked vibrant which the recent release lacks.
