Possibly, but I haven't seen or heard anybody reporting a lead from Criterion internally or via their social media. My guess is they'll avoid Prime Day and go next week on the 3rd Tuesday like the last several, but I'm hanging out on the site until 12:02 anyway.

I guess it's possible they might switch to Thursday this time (wouldn't be a first), but I';m betting on 20th

I don't think they've always done that, but it seems the last couple I've preloaded my cart without a problem

I just keep them on my Wish List and then cart them up.

I do the same, out of paranoia.

I only need 48 points for the $50 GC, so this is going to be interesting. I have to split my want list into two orders, hoping some things don't go out of stock too soon.

By the way, I watched Downhill Racer yesterday. I don't see this gem ever being discussed, but it's instantly near the top of my favorite sports films. It does a magnificent job of capturing the tedium between races. Redford is good as the aloof superstar on the rise, and the cinematography is absolutely dazzling.

I have no idea how they shot those scenes in 1969. Granted, my knowledge of cinematography is still growing, but...wow. It felt like I was flying down the course. I loved it.

I wonder what's in store for us this month. The 15th is only a few days away. Really hoping we finally get a Japanese release from them, as it's been awhile.

The WKW set would be fantastic. They usually announce the boxsets a few days before the 15th, so if it's coming out in January we should know by today or tomorrow I would think.

I'm a fan of Downhill Racer. Michael Ritchie's first movie. I couldn't tell ya how they shot those ski scenes either! 😂
