I can't see any reason they won't release them. Especially if the Godzilla set sold as well as it is rumored to have. The only question is will they wait for Media Blasters to lose the rest of the ones they have and do another Showa box or just release the two they already have by themselves.

Media Blasters seems to be making a comeback, so I do wonder if they won't give up their Toho titles without a fight.

I disagree. The Bunuel set is a major announcement. I'm ecstatic about it. I was hoping that Criterion got the rights to these films back, but I wasn't expecting them to be released all at once. The Scorsese/Dylan film is a welcome announcement as well.

Different strokes for different folks. Not my type of films and the Bob Dylan doc while interesting isn't something I'd watch a second time. Only way I'd take any of these is if they were free and I'd probably sell them right after.

Again, if you like them then that's great, but these aren't films for everyone. I am interested in the Ascension, but I haven't seen it. However, it sounds like a good blind buy.

I do wonder what's in store for 2021. We know for sure that The Man Who Wasn't There and Parallax View, but I wonder what else.
Hopefully Bringing Up Baby or Arsenic And Old Lace.

Warner Archive pressed Blu-ray’s are usually good quality, it sucks that they print out cover art on that awful stock that eventually wrinkles up

WAC, Criterion, Shout, I don't care, I just want the rest of the early Scorsese films on Blu-ray.

Warner Archive is great. I buy a lot of their releases and I can't think of a bad one. But Criterion is still better. If Criterion can't release After Hours, I wouldn't mind a WAC release.

Anyone else having issues updating their collection on the website? I keep adding movies and it doesn't register as added for some reason.

Edit....added find on my iPad so must be my browser.

8) Shutter Island

I wouldn't even consider this my definitive but this is how they are ranked in my top 100s favorite films which I think may need some re-evaluating since I think Last Temptation and Age of Innocence are better than Mean Streets.

Save The Green Planet (2003) - New to The Criterion Channel (and available on Kanopy)

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH? Newly added to The Criterion Channel and also on Kanopy (which is free if your library supports it), Save the Green Planet! is an absolutely bonkers movie from South Korea about a man who believes the CEO of a chemical plant is really an alien and kidnaps him because of it. To reveal anything more than that would be doing the movie - and you - a grave injustice. This is one that really has to be seen to be believed.

All of the posters I've found market the movie as whimsical, fantastical, and comedic. While there are some lighter moments, I would not describe Save the Green Planet! in those terms at all. It's very dark and gory at times, and definitely not for the squeamish or faint of heart.

DaBargainHunta's Decree: I was planning to watch Child's Play instead, but I happened upon this randomly - and I'm so glad I did! It's one of the most interesting and original films I've seen in years.

(Apparently, an American remake is in the works - 17 years later - so this obviously became a cult classic somewhere along the way.)

Thanks. Neo's post I quoted was from the end of September. I had wanted to ask and was surprised no one else had mentioned it when I searched. It was only Neo's post and then a quote of Neo's post

I love this film. It would be fantastic if Criterion were to give this a Blu-ray.
