I can't see any reason they won't release them. Especially if the Godzilla set sold as well as it is rumored to have. The only question is will they wait for Media Blasters to lose the rest of the ones they have and do another Showa box or just release the two they already have by themselves.

Again, if you like them then that's great, but these aren't films for everyone. I am interested in the Ascension, but I haven't seen it. However, it sounds like a good blind buy. |

WAC, Criterion, Shout, I don't care, I just want the rest of the early Scorsese films on Blu-ray.

1) Taxi Driver
2) Goodfellas 3) Mean Streets 4) The Age of Innocence 5) The Last Temptation of Christ 6) The Wolf of Wall Street 7) Casino 8) Shutter Island 9) Raging Bull 10) The Departed I wouldn't even consider this my definitive but this is how they are ranked in my top 100s favorite films which I think may need some re-evaluating since I think Last Temptation and Age of Innocence are better than Mean Streets. |

Save The Green Planet (2003) - New to The Criterion Channel (and available on Kanopy)
![]() WHAT DID I JUST WATCH? Newly added to The Criterion Channel and also on Kanopy (which is free if your library supports it), Save the Green Planet! is an absolutely bonkers movie from South Korea about a man who believes the CEO of a chemical plant is really an alien and kidnaps him because of it. To reveal anything more than that would be doing the movie - and you - a grave injustice. This is one that really has to be seen to be believed. All of the posters I've found market the movie as whimsical, fantastical, and comedic. While there are some lighter moments, I would not describe Save the Green Planet! in those terms at all. It's very dark and gory at times, and definitely not for the squeamish or faint of heart. DaBargainHunta's Decree: I was planning to watch Child's Play instead, but I happened upon this randomly - and I'm so glad I did! It's one of the most interesting and original films I've seen in years. (Apparently, an American remake is in the works - 17 years later - so this obviously became a cult classic somewhere along the way.) Last edited by DaBargainHunta; 10-18-2020 at 10:13 PM. |
