Thanks for the help. I don't visit Criterion's website often enough to be too familiar with how their website works (.... like visiting not much more than twice a year for the flash sales). I visited it again since posting my first question. I'm not sure if I did something different this time, but it seemed easier to navigate.

When these flash sales come up, I like to be prepared and know ahead of time what I'm going to order, because I know the most recent releases seem to sell out quick enough. I'd hate to miss out. (Although having the Barnes & Noble sale just around the corner is a great back-up plan if anybody misses out on the flash sale).

I'm not a big app user at all, but I would love a good app from Criterion to quickly refer to titles & review special feature, review collection & wish lists, link director's works, etc

Anyone wish to speculate on the currently unknown commentary track on the Essential Fellini set? Does anyone actually know what it is?

The result of a seance conducted where the spirit of Fellini was raised, and apparently he said, "This, ALL of this is shit. The only real cinema is Police Academy 7".

Criterion posted a picture on Twitter last night.

“Shopping is a Feeling.”

See you all in the morning to start the crazy check out disco. My bank account is going to be a little lighter.

Does anybody know what's happening with Twilight Time's licenses now that they've shut down? A bunch of TT's titles, such as I Want to Live, Kiss of Death, and Where the Sidewalk Ends, seem like they'd be a good fit for Criterion.

They did get 1984 so they’re in the mix.

I assume this late in the game that any copies of Eraserhead purchased directly through Criterion will be with the corrected disc?

They would totally make some heavy bank on PARASITE if they made a slight sale exception on their in stock thing.

Especially since the assumed BN sale will get that, Fellini, IRISHMAN, and MOONSTRUCK, which will probably all be hot sellers.

They got Leave Me to Heaven but that, along with 1984, had been sold out long before Criterion got the license. The titles you listed didn't really sell out until the end of TT's tenure, and I Want To Live! is still available through Screen Archives.

Yeah, I'm going a different way with this one, I'm grabbing some stuff that was sold out of Barnes and Noble during the last sale. I figure I'll be able to get newer stuff from the B&N sale and maybe get an extra membership discount since they'll be available in store. I'm taking the money I would use for new discs and applying it to the last two Eclipse sets that I want. I might be on point so that by the end of the year, the only things left in my Criterion wishlist will be 6-8 directors whose work I would like to get more familiar with, like Ozu or Ray or John Waters.

Good point, I have to think that any potential licensor would look at how slow "Kiss of Death" sold and balk at re-releasing it.

In relation to the upcoming Criterion sale, can someone clarify how coupons work? I have a few $10 gifts from Criterion that I have not used. Can I use them all at once. Does the amount discounted affect free shipping? Thanks.

With the $50 gift certificates, they get applied after the free shipping is calculated, because they are a form of payment. I would assume coupons are the same.
