Only thing I remember is a scene set in a slaughterhouse at the very beginning of the film. It’s been a little bit since I’ve watched it, though.

Nice slate of March announcements. The Wong Kar-Wai box set stands out to me and I might try and sell my out of print blu-ray of Chungking Express asap to get my money's worth! (although its probably too late now).

Just wondering on this still. I don't order on Criterion's site a lot even though I should. I looked it up on google and got no answers. Any help would be great.

No mention of the commentary on the press release. You could still get a good amount for it.

I'm super-stoked about Defending Your Life. With that said, I'm not in love with the cover art. Yes, it's basically a variation of the original theatrical poster, which I'd be happy about from any other company - since most of them use terrible "floating head" covers instead of the original poster art - but I was hoping for something more artistic from Criterion.

Still, the cover could be Albert Brooks bending over and mooning everyone, and I'd still get it. It's the best movie not only of Albert Brooks' career but also Meryl Streep and and Rip Torn's.

In for the Mike Leigh, and maybe the Rivette (a blind buy - although I'm doing less of that these days).

As the other poster said, slaughterhouse footage. It really seemed to me that they simply filmed stuff that was going to happen anyway, but maybe I'm wrong.

Just in case Criterion reads this... I want The Bad Sleep Well on blu-ray. I was pretty shocked to find a Kurosawa movie that doesn't have a North American blu-ray release.

If you really want them to listen to your voice, send an email. They even have an individual account for that.

I don’t remember it being all that bad, but if someone has a problem seeing animals being killed or slaughtered I wouldn’t recommend it. And then I would recommend never, under any circumstances, watching The Tree of Wooden Clogs.

Now that I have Amores Perros on blu ray from Criterion I'm really hoping that they do Dogville now.

I do, still doesn't change the fact they don't own the Region B rights for them.

And ? Again, doesn't change the fact the US label releasing them don't automatically own the Region B rights.

So yeah, as I said : how are doing those indie labels who don't have multi-regions rights ?

Are Criterion so strapped for cash that they had to get one of their 5 year old children to do that cover for CELINE AND JULIE GO BOATING?

Am I wrong, or do the WB titles typically seem to be the poster art or at least very close to it?

because AFAIK the only Shout! Region B title that they have released is the MST3K kickstarter season, & even then, the original was RA, it was only after backers campaigned on KS that they got a Region B release
Shout are strictly Region A only

Studio Canal has the 3rd largest film library

Outside France, the British Isles, Australia, New Zealand and Central Europe, StudioCanal does not have a formal distribution unit per se, instead relying on other distribution studios and home video distributors to handle their titles

Is there any reason as to why Criterion has not released Oniibaba on blu-ray yet?

This film is only available in the UK in the Masters of Cinema line & in Germany
