On to Ketflix, there are two announced Netflix titles (American Factory and Atlantics) that haven't been released and Rolling Thunder Revue, which wasn't announced by Netflix, is coming in a couple of weeks, so it is safe to assume that there will be some more Netflix titles this year. I could see Okja and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs getting released.
Yeah, Richard Rubenstein is known for pinching those pennies, so you would think that release would be region locked.

Buster Scruggs would truly a great release. Easily one of the top productions Netflix has ever made.

He is the worst. Frankly I'm still a little surprised that he licensed Dawn and Martin to Second Sight.

Andrei Tarkovsky is well represented in the Criterion Collection, his film The Mirror would be a great addition to the collection.

Do you have a link to where they say this? I can't find it on their social media pages.

Blu-ray upgrades.

These show up on Janus.com. They will most likely be released at some point.

Ashes and Diamonds
Burden of Dreams
Floating Weeds
The Lower Depths
The Testament of Dr. Mabuse
The Threepenny Opera

It should be coming later this year.

Would be happy to see The Threepenny Opera. Also, believe it got a German Blu albeit one that is not English friendly. Already grabbed the Eureka Blu of The Testament of Dr. Mabuse so I would likely pass on that.

They really missed the boat by not giving The Mirror spine #1001.

Was hoping it was the Kurosawa release, but it looks to be the French one.

I think the consensus is that a essential Kurosawa Collection is in the works.

I really hope so, but technically, it's just wishful thinking of everybody. There's never been a single legitimate implication.

I guess if enough people have guessed enough times. They’ll bound to be right eventually.

Also the Digital Bits has used this site as a reference before and I don’t trust most of the yahoo’s on here.
Here, I'll even save the Bits some time and write the piece for them:

"The Digital Bits has learned from a reputable source that the Criterion Collection will begin releasing 4K UHD discs this year. No word yet on which titles they'll roll out first, but stay tuned to the Digital Bits for the latest updates!".

I think the main reason many think it's happening is that there hasn't been a Kurosawa release from Criterion in years which is oddly unusual. I hope it happens in the next 12 months.

And like I said several months ago in this thread, Criterion missed his 110th-anniversary last year, but 2021 is 111st, also a very good number to justify and design a box set, if they need such an excuse to celebrate the master.

Forget 4k.

Criterion is just waiting until they go from HD to 8k.

4k is already outdated... bring on 8k!
