Kind of delighted to find out Criterion uses my headphones to professionally restore movies. Well, they use the Sennheiser 600 while I use the 6XX, which supposedly only have different plastics but sound identical.

There was a Fellini drought also.

Man...It would be a dream if those ended up on Criterion. I know there is no chance in hell for them but god, I just want them in Region A.

Rubinstein could have a shinning Grinch moment and develop a heart and share the talent, creativity and genius of his friend's work. Just a thought/hope.

'The Two Popes' - please? I really want to hear the Dolby Atmos mix of this, the 5.1 mix alone is beautiful.

It's better question than in every 4k thread "will the blu-ray be remastered?"

"The Mirror" is the only Tarkovsky film left that I don't have on BD. And, yes, it's on the Janus site. I am looking forward to a very likely Criterion release very soon.

I have the Criterions of (He has an early short on "The Killers"), "Ivan's Childhood", "Andrei Rublev", "Solaris", and "Stalker", and I have the Kino releases of "Nostalghia" and "The Sacrifice".

Just bring on "The Mirror" and I am complete.

The difference is that question isn't a prevalent. Sure it's annoying, but isn't as frequent as the "why no 4K" which has basically become a plague on the internet at this point.

After finally watching Portrait of a Lady on Fire (loved it), I'm hoping Criterion releases more of Céline Sciamma's work. I desperately need Water Lilies on BD and her back catalog was on the Criterion channel recently (doesn't mean anything but it's nice to mention. Artificial Eye is more likely but it'd be nice to get a US release.

The calm before tomorrow’s announcements (hopefully!). Anyone have anything they’re hoping for? Memories of a Murder and The Man Who Wasn’t There are 2 I’ve been waiting for and I’m hopeful we get both soon.

Since it's early in the year, I'll put up my perennial hopefuls:

It's a Gift
After Hours
Drugstore Cowboy
Arsenic and Old Lace
Hud
The Unbearable Lightness of Being
I Walked With a Zombie
Straight Time
Lone Star
One False Move

...and about 50 others.

Guys, anyone knows who have the rights for “Mountains of the moon”. I have on DVD but never ever saw a blu ray edition.

I believe Lionsgate has the rights, and if that's the case, then it sadly may never get a BD release. There is apparently a Spanish BD of it, but from a company notorious for bootlegs.
